On background, Taylor Hall apparently did have options. Throughout the process, Kevyn Adams did present other opportunities to Hall...Taylor chose to go to Boston.

Edmonton has both McDavid and Draisatil and they have one playoff appearance in the same time frame.

Eichel, McDavid, and Leon have a combined one playoff appearance.

but now we are calling Maruk who was 56 points behind the flower and 20th in scoring a top 10 player in the nhl when we had guys like robinson, potvin etc on the blue line and dryden in net


side note don edwards made the second all star team that year, and maruk didn't sniff the all star team list

I expected more then 1 great season (last year) from the face of the franchise and at least competing for a playoff spot after 6 years

That is literally the only position that can be said about that. And even then its not like those teams were this bad... or Carey Price carrying Montreal to a CC... That team wasn't as bad as the past 6 we've had.

Like I said, Adams had better offers but Hall wouldn't waive

If you don't trade him you look like an even bigger laughing stock around the league.

You want to bash Adams go for it, but to act like the Sabres had any leverage here is funny.

This isn't they didn't pay a roster bonus because they were being cheap.

It's the one tool the players have in their arsenal

Hall was going to be a Bruin because that's what he wanted and the Bruins still paid a 2nd round pick for a guy who has 2 freaking goals this year
