I get where your coming from but if the player is not good can't really Get mad with the 3rd pick You're never gonna get full value of a player when they don't live up to expectations

The flyers are most likely going to trade nolan patrick And his value is probably a 3rd round pick

I realize Montour was going to be a UFA, but Florida just lost Ekblad. We had them over a barrel. How about adding a prospect to go with that 3rd ? On any other team that didn't just suffer a huge injury, sure, take the 3rd but again, Florida was hurting after losing Ekblad. We had 'em right where we wanted 'em ... and we screwed it up.

Montour is worth what he’s worth regardless of any injuries on the team looking to trade for him. FL’s GM isn’t panicking. If the price is too high, Zito says no thanks and simply moves on.
