I'll suck his john if he wants. Best player to come through here since Gilbert. And you want to throw all the blame on him

We've had guys come in who have been MVPS of the LEAGUE and gotten 2 goals. Meanwhile Jack still almost puts up a ppg while having multiple injuries.

He has not been the problem

- DirtyDan

Maybe Jack is the problem because he isn't the solution

I mentioned this a few days ago.

Hall was spotted at the boston airport. Maybe Wednesday?

2nd round pick is good value.
Probably gonna be a mid 2nd rounder when the bruins get eliminated early

- Boss34

He’s driving to Boston today

The whole UFA thing keeps slipping your mind doesn't it?
- Stripes77

It doesnt though. You said Buffalo could only get value because Hall would only go to Boston and they knew it.

If Eichel will only go to NYR why would the rangers give up anything of value to get him.

Wow you've been here longer soo that makes you smarter

Your blaming a franchises problems on the cornerstone of the franchise.

I love this team but god are Sabres fans frankin dumb.

Jack is the coverup for all the problems.

Once jack was gone .... the team still played the game the same way.

I too enjoy blaming the franchise player for the ineptitude of the organization.

May I partake with burning Eichel at the stake?

Because if the Rangers want him NOW in his prime, vs 5 years from now when he's a UFA, then they would have to pony up something of value to convince the Sabres to pull the trigger

How is this a hard concept to understand?

Just curious, is our new borkie more of a rw or Lw? He’s listed as both on the cap friendly...

It clearly is

You don't have to trade Eichel

You have him signed for 5 more years

I cannot stress this enough, you're comparing two completely different things, the players, their contracts, their clauses, etc

62
78
71
90
27 (injury, still a PPG)
97

56
57
64
82
78
18 (injury)

First 6 years, each.

Guess who is who. If you're calling Eichel a "superstar", then Dennis Maruk certainly is too. His 7th year he had 60 goals and 136 points. You think Jack is on that pace next year?

You were proven wrong.

- Powerslave

ok, what was the scoring in the nhl then vs now

please take the time to post where they each stood at the end of the year in rankings

year 1, maruk tied for 62
https://www.hockey-refere...katers.html#stats::points

year 2
maruk 20th

https://www.hockey-refere...katers.html#stats::points

year 3

tied for 30th
https://www.hockey-refere...katers.html#stats::points

year 4
11th

https://www.hockey-refere...katers.html#stats::points

year 5 he was injured

year 6
13th

https://www.hockey-refere...katers.html#stats::points

so during that first 6 years

he was what, 30th in scoring?

Let's see a little more cleaning done today, maybe Adams uses a little of this new cap space to grab another piece 3rd party wise. See how this deadline finishes.

But he is having a down year and is injured.

Has a hefty contract that NUR have to take on. If Eichel doesn’t work out (These boards say he’s not that good) NY is saddled with a terrible contract.

More negative value.

I’m using all the logic that has been applied to Hall.

Exactly

When asked if Adams approached him with other teams Hall said "I don't want to get into that"

Hall wanted to be a Bruin

If you think ONE player is a solution your just as dumb as Terry saying Hall was our missing piece.

ITS NEVER ONE PLAYER. This is the gosh darn NHL not NBA. You cant have Lebron come through and take your team to the championship every year.

The only logic you need with Hall is that you trade him now for something or he walks in a month for Nothing, and he gets a say in both those scenarios

You get to keep Jack for 5 more years if you don't get an offer you like

i mean, it would get to the point where you just dont trade him

if hall has all the leverage and boston knows it, and will only offer a 5th round pick you just say no lol
