I don't know why there were people in the media hyping it up that he was an asset if the Canucks retained. We all knew from the early going that Sutter was going to either play out the contract, be bought out, or LTI-Retire. He's not worth the max 50% retention, and would've needed another team to get him into late-round value... can't split 6th round picks in half

They have 5 forwards 3 D and 1 goalie signed for next year. 50 Mil in cap space!! & They've picked 44 times in the last 4 years!!! Some long painful years ahead of them - I love it.
