It is called addressing the bottom of the lineup, with a player that makes less than 3 million. The kid is fairly solid.

He did play fairly well in the bubble last year. Still think I'd rather have a draft pick for Gaudette.

This feels cap-motivated. JB can't afford the 2mil Gaudette would ask for so he's getting a guy who helps him afford Petey/Hughes

Highmore had 4 points in 9 playoff games last season. Gaudette had 0 in 10 games.

Highmore really does look like another Motte out there.
