After listening to Carter’s interview I’m not getting that Marleau/Morrow feeling anymore lol Its more like a Guerin feeling and it’s good. Let’s go Pens! |

This aint a guy chasing his first Cup. He's done it before, knows what it takes, and wants to contribute to doing it again. I think he will fit in well here. |

I hate how everyone poops on Morrow. He was playing great until a split knee cap. |

i think ive warmed up to the addition. i dont think hell end up there but i think it would be fun to watch him bury a few from malkin. if he can still skate and get himself into shooting areas, hes never been shy about letting it rip. that type of mindset plays well into the playoffs.
i wish he was held in fonder memory by flyers fans for it to feel like some kind of sting as jagr was haha. i feel as though his legacy is mainly the "dry island/wides/shooting it right into the crest/of course hed go on to win with the kings", than an all time legacy guy - stayinthefnnet
He very much is!
That was a dark day. We had just gone to the finals. Came back 3 games to none v. the Bruins in the playoffs that year! People loved Carter and Richards, and then outta nowhere, BANG, they just ship them both off when we were thinking we finally had the pieces to seriously compete for awhile. Well, aside from goalie. I was dumbfounded. Yeah, in retrospect, the players they got back were pretty good, but still. Carter and Richards, specifically Richards, were beloved. Not Jagr level ability of course, but certainly loved nonetheless. We’re not thrilled about this. We’d be raising a bigger stink if we thought he still had a ton more in the tank.
But hey, at least they went and fixed that lack of a goalie when they shed Richards’ and Carter’s salaries by hiring Bryzgalov... |

There isnt an ice cubes chance in hell the ZBT line isn’t intact and playing together if they are all healthy. That line is Sullys safe space for better or worse. |

Richards had 2 rules. Don’t touch his Percocet’s, and do you have any Percocet’s. |

Yeah some here think he was all washed up but in fact he had quite a bit of interest headed toward that trade deadline. He came over and had 14 points in 15 games for the Pens. No one scored against the Bruins in the ECF sweep, well, hardly anyone, and he had 4 points in the 10 games before that series. Pretty good for a bottom 6. |

I loved Morrow playing for the Penguins. He was just not his self anymore when we got him from Dallas. He was a bit slower and playing 4th line minutes in the Stars.
Carter is giving me the Guerin feeling right now, that's all. He still can produce and will get good linemates. |

Actually he was playing good, then he split his knee cap and he was toast. Marleau sucked for sure. And yes I get the Guerin vibes too. Give him a chance. |

I agree. There’s a tiny tiny chance that maybe since Tanev’s out Sullivan will at some point see what Blueger can do centering Carter and one of McCann/Zucker, but then they’d have to look like world beaters for Sullivan not to go back to that checking line the second Tanev is healthy. I really think ZAR-Gaudreau-Tanev can be just as good defensively, which makes this frustrating. |

Yea it sure is. I'm already annoyed that the second line isn't gonna be Zuck-McCann-Carter. My guess for the lines at practice today:
Guentz-Sid-Rust
Zuck-McCann-Rod
ZAR-Carter-Lafferty
Zoho-Blue-Scevior
Could get a surprise with ZAR and Zoho swapped though. But just dumb |

I think a ZAR-Fred-Tan line would also be offensively productive. |

Yea. But right before the playoffs start IF we have health the 4th line should be ZAR-Gaud-Rod. Tanev may not be back till sometime the first round. |

That's assuming Freddy is back before the playoffs. With about three weeks to go, week-to-week doesn't guarantee it's not four or five weeks. |

Wouldn’t it be better to put all the plugs on 1 line instead of spreading them out on 3 lines? |

He did initially. I remember being kind of shocked how good he looked. Then the injury...
