Painful, had a 2 stage fusion in my neck about 10ysr ago, have 3 to 4 and 4 to 5 all fused together by cadaver bones. Had a herniation in 3 that blew out. Depending how bad he is not great news.

I think the problem he had is that he just played one too many years. There was nothing left in his arm at the end.
