I'd have to think Calgary knows the above?
- kingcong39

I think there's a group of players who coaches will never fully trust because of size and interpretation of defensive ability.

Like inverse Risto- Adams and Nightengale can think he's bad based on analytics but any coach they hire wants him on the team and will play him.

Mangiapane is 6th among forwards in 5v5 ice time per 60. I don't think he's as valued by coaches as his numbers

Reinhart > Lindholm
Olofsson <
I guess it depends on what a possible extension for Sam would look like. I’d prefer to keep him but I do like how Lindholm is under contract for a few years and Mangiapane is a gem.

So I guess I would lean towards yes at this moment in time.

I don't think Calgary would do the deal above as they'd be paying more for the same or similar production they are already getting, assuming Reinhart is getting at least $7M per on his long term deal.

Copp has 14 goals and 20 assists so far.

Looks like it's at least in part due to a bump in power play time.

He’s certainly taking advantage of better opportunities this season

He is not no. However I would expect the Rangers to protect Shesterkin (unless I’m missing something and he is ineligible to be claimed by Seattle).

I’d offer two 3rd rounders for Georgiev and say take it or leave it.

- Pegullaville

Shesterkin is exempt.

No but they could view Reinhart as a top 6 center which their depth in that area severely lacks

If the Sabres could parlay Olofsson and Reinhart into Copp and Mangiapane, I think it'd be a great start to resetting and improving the top 2 lines.

Sutter had him on the 4th line for a few games at least from what I remember.

Why would we have to “FOOL” them?
He’s certainly a top6 player
And he’s looked solid at Center for a little bit now

I'm going to preface this with knowing the likelihood, or lack thereof, regarding the UFA signing below happening, but using this as an idea, is the top 6 below a big enough improvement for the team next year?

Skinner - Eichel - Copp
Landeskog - Cozens - Mangiapane

It's certainly a very good two way top 6 IMO

I was trying to go for a more difficult to play against, more well rounded while still productive top 6, that way the ATM line could have less stress on them.

To make the playoffs?
I’d say maybe

We’d need the 3rd line to come through for us too I’d think- especially if we wanna win a round

It's a good top 6.

I think they absolutely need some physicality in the top 6

Think Calgary would laugh at Rhino for Lindholm, one is there 1C soon already signed to a great contract, will the other can barely play C

With how good Cozens looks, and the ATM line (Asplund, Thompson, Mittelstadt, because they are money) I’m a lot more optimistic than I was a few weeks ago
