time to trade for him was last off season
he is blowing up now, like cirelli did last year for the bolts - homiedclown
And like wood for nj. Imaging if they added Copp and wood instead of Staal and Eakin. Thanks Ralph!!! |

Adams and Karmanos presser at 230 - jcragcrumple
See what they lay out, you can see what Adams vision is for this team. See what Karmanos says and when they expect to add to the staff. |

I'm looking forward to this one actually. I hope someone kinda digs into why he felt the need to purge 75% of the staff, try it for a year and then build it back up. I think we think we know at least some of that answer, but I'd want to hear it from him.

Perhaps proof that Jason Nightengale was let out of basement storage.
Trading away Brandon Montour, who has extremely limited defensive ability, and acquiring Anders Bjork, who is actually a very low key, quality utility forward who can be deployed anywhere successfully. |

You just gave away your position, Kevyn. I (frank)ing knew you trolled HB for trade talk.
CAST EAKIN INTO THE SUN, trade Risto, eat celery, success. |

It’s a situation where we needed to break down what hadn’t been working to be able to evaluate properly. Now that part of the evaluation is done, we have added mr Kamarous to help identify the right people to build the hockey department into the envy of the nhl. We will start to identify those people while continuing the evaluation of the coaching staff. |

Well I can tell you one thing. I'm definitely not unemployed Peter Chiarelli looking to get back into the hockey sphere. Nope not him. Although I think he has some very good ideas and a lot of his trades were misunderstood. But I am not Peter Chiarelli. Why would you ask if I am Peter Chiarelli? That's weird |

Red herring, Kevyn, because Peter Chiarelli would have traded Eichel already for Erik Cernak and Radko Gudas.

Giving Jack Johnson a 3 year/$15m deal this summer would really solidify the blueline. Not that im Chiarelli, I'm just saying if a team was thinking about giving him an interview, that's an idea he might have |

The guy has more staying power than Led Zeppelin. It's impeccable. I *almost* think it's because NHL GMs feel bad for him.

Great, Kevyn and Jason are both here soaking up our amazing ideas. Just hire us already so we can all have cubicles in the basement with Nightengale.

I have always thought that you could piece together a decent front office with the well educated fans who actually study the game.
The "good old boys" prevent or slow down the games evolvement.
I would like to see an actual war room of a bunch of the posters on here and see how they wouldn't be able to accomplish anything because they would be too busy arguing about the return of a trade three years ago! |

That probably would make more sense
Let Adams be the guy that is the talking head figure (he is pretty good at it)
Let Karmanos do what he does best and that's put together a hockey team
I think it's possible but will depend on how next year goes first |

I'm putting together a cv for the hockeybuzz silly hat brigade to act as the Sabres assistant to associate gm Karmanos. We don't need an office. We can just scream at each other in the halls and bang on his door when we've come to an understanding on an idea |

Anyone been following the Amerk's closely? What's the deal with Pekar? Looks like he's played in most games and has zero points. Thought he was developing nicely in juniors but I've heard nothing since he started in the A. I had hopes of him becoming a good depth/grit/energy guy.

Being an 'associate' GM, he will bring a lot of the missing knowledge to Kevyn about hockey specific decisions, and probably directly assist in making those decisions, like a partner instead of an assistant. I think Kevyn is, or can be, a very useful President or vice or whatever for the organization. I just don't trust him, yet, on the ground level like I would a guy like Karmanos. He's the kind of guy that had the exact same career path as Brandon Beane. Which makes the hiring as unsurprising as it is interesting. |
