Borgen is everything that people think Risto is. - Pegullaville
YES!
Risto can be a PP QB as well, with Dahlin, he's redundant there as well. |

i'd pump the brakes on that one, far too small of a sample - robz228
Tough to say this about a guy with only 8 or 9 whatever games...
I think there's a decent sample. He's been around a bit more, had a lot more time in ROC than we're used to. He can hit, he can throw mittens and will.
Not sure there's much more Risto does well tbh. He hits. He can be a decent #2PPQB for us. Meh. |

He isn't bad though... hes just not a #1 and thats how hes always been played.....
Every team in the league would love what Risto brings to the table. But I doubt they play him as their #1 - DirtyDan
He's not a #2 or #3 either, and at 5.4 mil for a bottom pair D man that's really bad |

What am I wrong about - TheSabresTaco
Your sammer stats .
You said 3 goals in the last 18 games was incorrect.
Then you posted false bs
I would have surely been called out around here.
It's fun correcting me and pointing out my ignorance 🛎 |

I wouldn't suggest taking advice on fighting from a guy who just said he was between 110-140lbs in high school...
Tage stood up for a teammate. It was blatantly obvious. Good for him.
Now, grab his shoulder, thumb goes through the collar, keep that left extended to keep him at bay and let's throttle em next time!!! - RhinoFan
Time's change kid. I'm like a spider monkey on mountain dew now. 😉
Believe me, you would want me on your side.

Borgen is a third pairing d-man realistically but has good defensive metrics. His game is entirely predicated on staying at home, not giving up the blue line, and flipping the ice in the opposite direction
Small sample size, absolutely. He was doing it in college, in Rochester, and should have been doing it in the NHL all last season too but because we had 6RHD he didn’t see the ice despite being better than all but maybe 2 of them at this point.

Ah yes, I see that I mistakenly took the beginning of the season stats instead. So that's on me. Other than that, Sam's career numbers make him a top 6 forward on 31 teams.

Borgen is everything that people think Risto is.
Risto’s physicality in the grand scheme of things is null and void because hockey is won on the scoreboard and when he is on the ice we are giving up more goals then we are scoring (kind of like Tage getting that one punch in while getting his bell rung last night) - Pegullaville
You guys love making high expectation just for them to come crashing down

That's exactly what I was referring to. Those were his stats for his first 12 games, not the past 18.

Risto actually makes an effort in his own zone though. Where as Dahlin has no clue how to tie a guy up or even skate backwards

Risto is a high bar ? - Pegullaville
Your saying Borgen would score the game winner for your country in the biggest tournament you'll ever play in before coming to a NHL franchise to be there #1.
Now you crucify him because apparently hes only worth about 10 mins a game. While literally having no one else to be that #1 d-man because your management absolutely has sucked since you came here.
Makes sense. rip on your best d-man because hes never been given the proper help. Rip on Eichs for not having the proper help.
You guys make no sense half the time.
Who are we playing 25 mins a game in place of Risto? Borgen? A guy whos played 8 games in the Chel? Laughable

I can distinctly remember 3 times he beat the tar heals off of someone in retaliation of a hit. I think this is from a while ago, but if I remember right MacInnis that Dougherty kid hard a little earlier. Someone fought him and lost, so Borgen stepped up and...well...you saw.
Nice find. |
