Rory McIlroy has had a history of getting his ass kicked by Augusta National, perhaps the most famous and highly regarded course in the world. Last weekend was no exception.

Still, it would be an ironic reversal of the days when the Buffalo Braves played a number of home games at Maple Leaf Gardens.

An average goalie is as good as the team in front of them.
A bad goalie makes a good team in front of them much worse.
A great goalie in front of a bad teams makes them average.

I think there's more to it than just a blanket statement that goalies are all products of environment. We had Hasek, were those teams good or did Hasek save us night over night?

Was it just me, or does Ovi kinda play like Olofsson (sometimes).. guy is always standing there, waiting to tee up a shot. The Sabres seemed very prepared for him.

Very impressed how Cozens and Bjork have seem to jive together. That whole line brings a lot of speed. And Bjork is very good defensively. Very evident that Washington's defense couldn't handle the speed and puck pressure. It was a really fun game to watch. And Borgen is getting close, who sits, or does Miller go to the Left side.

Very evident that Washington's defense couldn't handle the speed and puck pressure. It was a really fun game to watch. And Borgen is getting close, who sits, or does Miller go to the Left side.

Anazing what a change of scenery can do for a solid player who is struggling to find his way in a system not designed for him. I hope we don’t fall into another stifling system and frustrate these guys. Clearly a fast, up tempo, skill game is successful even with an average goalie.

Kevyn's a smart guy. The roster needs work, sure, but it's like when we were teenagers we'd buy cheap walmart meat to grill with and we were like ok this is fine but then we had finely cooked, quality steaks and we're like ok we're not going back to that nasty ass poop.. think the same thought process is present. You know what works, you see what works, you get guys who can all play in this fashion. Inject some higher talents into this roster and they're a real playoff team.
