I am starting to think Kreuger convinced the Pegulas to cut everything and leave it up to him and he told KA who to sign for his 'system' and KA yes man did what he was told.
In completely gutting this organization, and Ralph's hiring of Granato, we somehow may have finally found the silver lining in all of it.
Believe me, I'm unreserved in my critique of everything Sabres, I abhorred Tage and Mitts especially. But despite continuing the losing streak, the team looked different the very first game after Ralph got fired.
I wanted to keep poopting on them believe me but what I saw in yesterday's game is the best Sabres hockey I have seen in probably 12 or 13 years and if Granato can do this 60% of the time, every time, I'm all aboard. - 3rd GM's the charm

Your opinion holds no value to me

Wonder if Adams and Karmanos are working the phones to see if they can strike a deal for a goalie. |

Yes we can, any team can just that player can't be on your playoff roster. So you would probably talking with teams not in the hunt. |

I wouldn't expect anything between now and the draft. There is maybe 1 trade a season this time of year and it's usually minor |

Haven't talked with anyone since the deadline, they did call Columbus before the deadline and guess where told no at that time, wouldn't hurt to check in again. |

I know, just wouldn't hurt to try and see what's up, might be able to lay some ground work for the draft. |

So with Ullmark out, we probably won't see too many wins in the next 13 games, unless they play UPL in every one of them and he's lights out.
But that's fine, as long as they keep playing entertaining hockey, and the youngins keep improving, I'm good with that.
It's odd...I'm actually looking forward to watching them play now. Today, I even caught myself thinking "hey, when is their next game ?". Watching the development of Tage, Mitts, Cozens, Dahlin, Jokiharju, Asplund, R2, and Bryson under Granato has been pretty awesome to watch. And Bjork looks pretty good out there too.
Would be REALLY cool to see UPL take the league by storm here for the rest of this season. |

I'd love to see them kick ass the rest of the year too, but I don't know man...We've tanked this far. Let's finish the job, hopefully land Beniers, and see what we can do next season.

We didn't tank this year. We had a phenominally bad coach and woeful goaltending once Linus went down. The best thing that can happen out of all of this is that the kids continue to kick ass. The draft is a pure crapshoot this year - no reason to root for losses. I've seen that site, no reason to do it again and plenty of reasons not to.
Besides, finishing last doesn't guarantee anything. |

I like sneaky joe’s idea. Sign a college UFA.
Start him and UPL the rest of the way. |

I like the college UFA idea
With UPL sporting an .888 in the AHL, I support giving him a shot, but goalies develop on a different timeline - especially one with an injury history like UPL. I'm all for replacing Houser with UPL on the active roster, but I'd only give him a couple games as a starter.
They've made a premium investment in UPL and they should see it through properly. I wouldn't throw him into the fire willy nilly. Tokarski and a UFA can see this through |

Unless UPL takes the league by storm this year (and that's highly unlikely), he needs to play 50-55 games in Rochester next year. |

Yeah, it looks like at least one more year in the AHL.
I think the teams in the AHL are only playing in four team "divisions."
So he's not seeing a lot of different players. It's essentially a club league. It could take longer |

He's very underrated and has been successful every where I have zero clue why he's unsigned he should be a Redwing right now ..
