there's mann and not much else...pronman had mann at #3 :

3. Strauss Mann, G, Michigan-Big Ten

Mann was a top player in college hockey for the last two seasons, including a tremendous .939 save percentage as a sophomore, although that number is a little down this season. Mann is an intelligent goalie who can make the smart read and efficient play, but also has great quickness to make the tough save. The athleticism isn’t off the chart for a six-foot goalie, and the size will be the main question on him, but the tools are good enough to play games and provide useful minutes for a club as a No. 2 or No. 3 goalie.

and this goalie as #8 on his list of college free agents:

8. Arvid Soderblom, G, Skelleftea-SHL

Soderblom is a top goalie in the SHL as a 21-year-old. His hockey sense is excellent, he tracks pucks very well, makes a lot of great reads and, at 6-foot-3, never seems to break out of his technique. He stays square with pucks at a high rate in the SHL, but he lacks NHL level lateral quickness and may have issues with levels that have quicker paces.

Hall now has the same amount of goals in 3 games with Boston as he did in 37 here

College degree is better than not finishing the degree and falling on your face if you don’t make the show.

I guess he could always go back and finish the degree afterwords or do it during the offseason

Who cares

-Skinner waived his NMC for the draft
-Miller and Risto are either traded or exposed

*Eakin is buried in the minors. I keep seeing on here, and hearing on wgr to buy him out. If we bury him, it's an extra 200 or 300k on the cap next year, and none for 2022/2023. It never makes sense to buy a player out on their final year.

Not if it’s in PE non teaching or clown studies.

Buffalo needs a goalie and signing a guy like that if possible should happen. But at the same time don’t expect them to come in and be better than tokarski

You can buyout Eakin for 800K buyout price on the books

Honestly. No it’s not. When you are working in the real world. An “education” check when doing a background check and stuff means nothing. You just see the person has their diploma and move on. It doesn’t matter if you went to Harvard to ecc

If he spends the year in Rochester we save $1.05M on the cap which is slightly less then the amount we’d save buying him out.

Only difference is, we wouldn’t have any dead cap next season as well. I believe it would be somewhere along the lines of $600K next year too if we buy him out (will let Lunaion or Cong39 confirm)

From what I read is that if you put him in Roch you are done paying him after next season. If you buy him out you end up spending more overall over the next two seasons. Either way, it's a good thing if/when it happens.
