Skinner would be the only player worth taking a risk on next year. He is starting to put up some points again, I believe with some stability with linemates and a more offensive approach will reignite him. Krueger spent a year and a half trying to change a mustang into a plow horse. That damage needs to be wipped out of his system and be allowed to fly, just like Dahlin has.

26 has brought the BDE (big Richard energy) since Ralph left

- washedup20

Keep Skinner with Eichel all year. Put their stalls next to each other, get them bunk beds. We're gonna save this mans career

I said as much when it happened.. But..

Counterpoint being Ralph wanted Eakin
and the other two with the way the cap would remain was hoping to possibly get a steal for 3 years as that would help offset some of the other spending he had no part in. I liked the VO contract. IMO he didn't have a choice with the Sam one. Ullmark should have been locked in a little longer, but they wanted to see what they had I guess.

- SDSabre

Do they even know what they have in Ullmark yet?

He's consistently shown he can't handle a number 1 workload without having injury issues.

I'd let another team make the mistake of paying him $5M or more per year.

One of the Bruins beat writers said it looked like Hall hasn't played a game in 9 days, and my response was he's looked like that all year.

I would have loved it if Bjork would have been able to bury that winner in OT

- Stripes77

Good thing with bjork he will Always have in the back of his mind that they gave up on him and he will up his game vs them .

That's Another plus in the trade

The compete level on this team is so refreshing, I know they have no pressure, but these youngins are playing hard and proving they belong. Looking forward to seeing Borgen back. Him and Bryson could make for a intriguing pair.

Be a lot easier decision if they had another goalie

Did zero back reading but

Dahlin is starting to look like the player he was touted as...

That is a very good thing

- Stripes77

A very very good thing. Remember when people wanted to trade him 2 weeks ago?

I remember that.

Not sure I want to push down a prospect's playing time in Rochester to save 800k or whatever. He's done, get him gone.

How did you like the Swedish Chef's first game for ya? He's got lots of speed, a good amount of skill and is pretty smart defensively. He can be like a dog on a bone when he's after the puck sometimes.

He will generate lots of scoring chances. If he could ever develop a finishing touch around the net, he could be 1st line material. Hopefully with the ice time he can get in Buffalo, his scoring touch may come around.

They should not be held hostage by that as that's how they make a bad decision on another bad contract.

I think he has to come up. He literally is the only goalie on a Sabres contract left

Houser is already here

Isn't that the rap on the relatively inexperienced guy...lots of flash and dance, bit not much on the scoresheet?
I'm in Mexico, so trying to catch up a bit. I didn't see the game.

I think you see them go hard for 1 of the Columbus goalie's, and Carolina and Florida have decision to make on there goaltending to.

They have to get two goalies then. Ullmark and someone or two someones as good as Ullmark. And yes, they know what they have when he plays. I would be fine with close to 5 for a couple years. Long term also scares me there.

am of the opinion that sending hutton on a slow boat and mule train to a remote outpost in upper norway for any injury rehab is the only option with him...in order to resist temptation to use him and/or squash any thoughts of re-signing him

Almost had 2 last night I think he will do good with the young core going forward. Hopefully this turns into a Patrick sharp type trade lol

That may be what they've done. If you'd prefer to have UPL playing games in Roch, and he could backup, could be a possibility.

If he isn't playing here, would rather have him get games in Rochester. Does him no good this year sitting on the bench IMO.
