What does that even mean?

A 19 year old kid out of college isn't a ppg player on what was the worst team in the league the season prior...

OMG lets shoot him into the sun

- Stripes77

It means just what I said it does: jack eichel is not a point-per-game player after 375 games in the NHL, yet he's paid like he's potting 50 goals or 100 points a season ( neither of which he has ever done or will ever do) It's not conjecture. it's not opinion. it's fact.

I don't supposed the 94 point pace he played the year prior matters to you at all

Or that you don't pay someone based on what they did in their rookie season which was checking notes...6 seasons ago

Besides not being good enough to be a franchise player we can add injury-prone to the jack eichel dossier.

10 million dollars a year for a guy who is injured every season and still isn't a point per game player in the NHL after 375 games.

Did Jack not sign an autograph for you???

Or was it your “friend’s daughter” (yeah, right)
who got denied???

Question - Eichel sucks per your analysis - too much money for not enough points.

Tell me what you get for him when you trade him because he is garbage and how do you replace his talent? Or, better yet, how do you get an idiot GM to trade for him because he is paid too much money, is always injured and does not play hockey well enough?

There's not a post on this blog or any other where I've said Jack Eichle sucks. Never. I have said continually he's not a franchise player, and that somehow gets translated to he sucks.

How do I replace a mid tier 1c? You're kidding right? Much more important is finding a legit 1g, which will impact the team far more than Jack from his permanent LazyBoy in the NHL basement. I'm tired of not having real hockey to watch after the 20th game of ever year of Jack's career because he cannot make his team good.

I'd trade this guy for a top 5 goalie any day of the week in the offseason. And I'd be in the playoffs the next season. Not saying that's a remote possibility, but that's what I'd look to get for this unremarkable player. I doubt anyone would trade a legit star goalie for him though.

94, which is again less than 100. As I said years ago, because I'm not new to telling the truth about Jack eichel, he's a slightly better Derek Roy except that Derek Roy could Captain a team to the playoffs

The fact that you would trade a mid-tier center (your term, not mine. Lets not forget he was in the thick of the mvp voting last year) for a top 5 goalie (whoever that is) shows how much you know about this stuff.

Who were the Buffalo Sabres centers and who was their goaltender the last time they were in the playoffs?

Define not being a PPG player when the last 3 season combined he's been over a ppg. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Cherry picking certain parts of a career does nothing. Jack eichel has played 375 NHL games and is not a point per game player. Jack eichel was not a ppg in his most recent season. All I see are statistically insignificant deviations

Exactly. A great goalie is far more important than any Center and anyone telling you different is a moron. It's one thing if that Center is Sidney Crosby in his prime, but Jack eichel should never be around a conversation of Sidney Crosby in his prime

As a person who does statistics for a living, when talking about this sort of thing, there would definitely be weights for what have you done recently. But I'm the one "cherry picking"

Got it

One of the Bruins beat writers said it looked like Hall hasn't played a game in 9 days, and my response was he's looked like that all year.

I would have loved it if Bjork would have been able to bury that winner in OT

- Stripes77

I would have accepted

"He hasnt played a game all year."
