1) A goalie will be picked every year. Doesn't have to be early rounds, unless someone unexpected is there (UPL)

2) Late round picks always find someone with an elite something (Shot [VO], speed, hands, awareness, tallness, something)

3) Never reach in the early rounds (Quinn, imo of course)

Well put. Although for the goalie thing, if you have to "answer" to your boss following the draft, it's not necessarily bad to say something along the lines of if I took a forward there, chances of them becoming more then a 10-12 min guy scraping by on effort in 6 years or a goalie who we see a ton of potential in and could be a #1, especially in later round in 6 years, might not be the worst answer for an immediate impression. Shows you got an eye on the teams future (Even if the rest of the draft is for today). 3 is just don't fall in love with a kids interview answers and personality imo. You aren't going to be in a locker room with them anyways. Interviews in my ideal world would be to weed out the absolute dumpster fires, but no one gets a bump up due to it. Just my thoughts.
