Kevyn's a smart guy. The roster needs work, sure, but it's like when we were teenagers we'd buy cheap walmart meat to grill with and we were like ok this is fine but then we had finely cooked, quality steaks and we're like ok we're not going back to that nasty ass poop.. think the same thought process is present. You know what works, you see what works, you get guys who can all play in this fashion. Inject some higher talents into this roster and they're a real playoff team.

They have the most value who are expendable. Risto is fools gold and if we can get a top 6 for him you do it, someone with a bit of toughness like E.Kane style of game. Then I am trading Reinhart for a mobile top 4.

Unless we are thowing money at UFAs need something of value.

Maybe take a run at Rask, need a goalie for 2 years for 6K to take over. If he wants to much Mrazek or Driedger.

I think seeing Risto's ice time lessened is a sure sign that they've identified his value and worth. Also, it isn't any secret as to which lines are carrying the mail at 5v5. As said earlier if Sam doesn't want 5x6ish then he can be moved.

The issue is how do we fill the holes without trading someone like Risto? Not going to trade Tage, Asplund or Mitts. Some of the young guys just starting to perform.

Risto is expendable with Johnson, Borgen, Samuelsson and Laaksonen in the pipeline.

Maybe see if someone bites on Olofsson. Would have easily done Mantha for Reinhart.

I mean I've said it before. Maybe worthless isn't the correct word, but it's the word that was chosen for Tage. Recent bias surely is creeping in, I will admit. I also though Tage looked great before his shoulder injury last year, and like some have said can we really judge any player under the soccer czar? There will be trades, and if some want to expose Tage and keep VO or Girgs ok, just my thinking that we actually have a middle pairing line that has been dominating. Don't break them up.

I won't argue about Risto, even though I think he's a Kevyn Adams kinda guy. It's his relentlessness and determination that keeps him here.

I'm more curious about why we're trading Reinhart? Ideally, you said you want to trade Risto for a top 6 and Reinhart for a top 4. Do you expect to get a forward that's more useful than Reinhart using Risto?

I would have liked to see more of Borgen up here, unfortunately he got hurt, I have been pretty high on him for awhile, and he will answer the bell when is needed something that is needed here. Looking forward to seeing Samuelsson to, the guy can get nasty to.
