Badly worded on my part. It’s a global issue but responses need to be local and regional. Ottawa buys and approves vaccines. Provinces determine priorities for distribution.

Why are vaccination priorities the same across the country? Provinces run health care, setting priorities for rolling out vaccines distribution should be integrated into the rest of their public health efforts, not set in Ottawa.

Just curious are you suggesting government paid sick days or forcing employers to have paid sick time for their staff? And how many paid sick days per employee are you suggesting?

One results in increased taxes, the other likely forces some small business owners to fold and perhaps even some medium sized ones.

I don’t think having paid sick days would have had nearly as big an impact is slowing down or stopping the spread as some folks think it would have. Just my opinion. I certainly don’t have the info on how many who have spread it contracted it at work.

People should understand that the risk of portal vein thrombosis (pvt) is at least 10 times higher from covid infection than from getting a vaccine.
mRNA vaccines seem to do worse in preventing this risk/condition than the more classical vaccine approaches (j&j, AZ, sputnik).
Same for Cerebral Vein Thrombosis (CVT) where the mRNA vaccines seem to do better in preventing the risks (vs the classical vaccine approaches) - but all vaccines are reducing the risk of CVT vs covid infection.

These are early data, and the effect (and implications) might vary between different age groups, other determinants (men vs women etc).

Best is to take any vaccine with regulatory approval.
Covid 19 disease put you at risk of a lot of health conditions, and vaccines (obviously) reduce all of these risks.

N.B.: there is still no data on mid to long term potential effects of mRNA vaccines, so personally I still stay with the classical vaccine approaches.

Feds should be approving the Russian Sputnik V and the Covaxin from India. Then more people would take vaccines. I don't trust moderna, Pfizer, j unt j... Astra Zeneca like i said would be a last resort.

Specifically the weak ones, I found their MGD to be way softer than it is in Canada. Not sure why. Same with the Coronas in Arizona. But I drank a bunch of brewery beer in both places and wasn't impressed. Also their bud tastes like Canada's bud light. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I believe Trudeau will do everything possible to ensure the Leafs win the Stanley Cup. Nothing is more important to the liberal base than the blue seats of the GTA. I hope the Leafs are careful out there. I hope the Nucks players are healthy, mentally ready, out of danger, and that playing so soon won’t put them at more risk during the game, or create longer term issues for them and their families. I’d prefer they weren’t playing.

I think this could wear on the Leafs emotionally as much as it will on the Canucks.
