meh. I said this awhile ago. with 4 games per week, Habs need to target the games they want (need) to win. like last night game. then you go all in and play hard.
for the other games, like the the back to back.... rest your vets, play safe.

the goal here to performe in the playoffs. that is the only objective.
how do you achieve that? by playing Weber 20+ minutes in a meaningless game like today? I doubt t.

yeah...

while I agree with you, I still find this very depressing to watch. if the players aren't ashamed at all after a game like this it means they simply don't give a (frank)

Ducharme was asked if Weber had any issues that would prevent him from shooting like he used to, he said not at all. would've been better to just pretend he's not 100% loll

I would also like them to stop lying, saying they cannot recall players because of the cap. that is total bs.
send Byron to the taxi squad, he doesn't even need to go through waivers. you save 3.5M.
recall Frolik (plays for Byron) Evans (plays for Staal) and Ouellet (plays for Weber. all 3 make less than Byron.

The Canadiens managed to get the win tonight against Calgary, but it wasn’t pretty.

i hate this team so much. it's like someone told them all you have to do is play .500 hockey and you'll make the playoffs and that's all they want to do.

yeah I really didn't get that "we can't make any moves" answer, a bit odd

bah, they're already super-mysterious with Price's health status, pretty sure they could go with an "upper and/or lower body" injury for Weber

I don't think they can afford the rest Vets, that playoff train is slowly pulling out of the station.

They barely showed up last night. Tonight was a complete no show. These efforts are becoming a regular occurrence under Ducharme. This team generally stunk under Julien but they showed up most nights.

while I'm hoping Ducharme will have the balls to make bolder moves and perhaps bench a veteran player or 2, it still really (frank)ing sucks he has to resort to that kind of strategy, like he was dealing with kindergarten or something. with all the experience in that locker room the players already know they're playing like poop collectively, so why wait until the coach does something drastic to start playing better, jeebus.
