I also think KK and suzuki need 2 or 3 years. The centre line of a team is always key
Unless they can replace Danault properly, it would be pretty good if they can sign him back - deadpoulet
Big thing with Danault too is the statistical dominance of that line, the numbers don't lie and those 3 form one of the most reliable lines in hockey, if they can lock up that whole line for the next 4-5 years at a combined 16-18 million in cap hit, they shouldn't hesitate |

How do you see the team next season? Too soon to talk about?
I think Armia out and Caufield in is a giving. Staal is not coming back, but maybe Perry. Lehkonen gone unless he takes a paycut.
I think your'e right about Danault and Tatar. As long as they want to stay and the money works. I would expose Drouin and see if Seattle bites. They might.
Maybe a shake up on defense. Hopefully Romanov will get better and better. No easy solution with Weber other than manage his minutes. |

Given that Drouin should no longer factor into their long term plans (I don't give a (frank) how they get rid of him whether it is throwing him off of a cliff or running him over with a Zamboni, he has to go), I think they should try and find a way to keep both Danault and Tatar for the reasons you mentioned. If they want to go though, c'est la vie. Hopefully they can somehow pull a top 6 LW out of their ass to be an upgrade over drooling Drouin. |

If they kill Drouin the league might look into this
maybe they could pull an Hossa, but Drouin is younger
Seattle is the first option |

I know I am overly emphatic, but essentially even if they have to pay ie 2nd as a sweetener to take him, his salary and silliness about not being able to shoot a puck has to go. |

I would rather they pick Weber instead of Drouin if both are exposed, we really need to get quicker with our defense and having Weber on for even 3rd pair is costing us games |

it's unfortunate that they haven't found a cure for old age yet.
they're talking about letting people drink baby blood, but i'm sure red gatorade tastes better. |

It's a tough call who I'd rather see go, but I think Weber has value in a top 4 role if his minutes are managed, whereas Drouin is dead weight at all times. Not to mention there are zero options to replace Weber because their defensive prospect pool is pretty abysmal. |

Maybe just a glass of Wolverine blood from Pacioretty?
Jokes aside, it's actually obvious.
Old age can affect your speed.
But Weber doesn't shoot anymore. He should still be able to send a slapper at 110 mph like he still did earlier in the season. But he doesn't even try one.

Next season will depend greatly on Suzuki and Kotkaniemi once again, along with Caufield... unfortunately the D looks old and slow, that will need to be addressed externally, nobody is ready to jump in from within.
