Whether St. Louis wanted to tell themselves they were underdogs or not, they still had a cup caliber roster. Their top 6 was better than the Habs, their top 4, and their goalie. But yes, this team needs to wake the (frank) up.

I think the only main difference between our
team with that Blues team is at the centre position, that said, our team should be very competitive

I mean Julien when he was first hired....Well, the second time he was hired. He won a cup in Boston in 2011 fine, but what has he done since? I mean since they fired him, they didn’t change their roster that much and Cassidy got those players to win a lot more than Julien did. Don’t hire based on what happened 8 years ago, do it based on where the league is going now.

I agree completely, but Julien was probably the best french coach available, and until the new GM/Molson have the balls to stand up to a few weeks of pressure from the media, they are always going to have that immense coaching pool handicap.

I only read the English part not the French part except when I want to brush up
- habs88888

Lol I hope you only read one part since it’s exactly the same in the other language . I only do them in both languages because some have asked me to and tbh, i get more clicks since I’ve started doing that

well technically reading the french version would be the equivalent of reading the same thing twice, but it is a good language learning opportunity indeed.

how bout a spanish version? Ducharme, ¡qué hombre tan estúpido!

Problem is Price is playing like poop and Weber is no longer a number 1 dmen. Blues had a better top 4 D (Pietrangelo and Bouwmeester is a much better pairing than we can make) and goalie, an elite scorer in Tarasenko, and of course the centers.

I think we're all unanimous on that. If an english coach was hired, I'd say a few weeks to couple months of pressure before it's forgotten, (frank) hire a translator if needed. I don't know why they're terrified to take that step.

This is already Ducharme’s last weeks as a head coach in the NHL, IMO

You have to input something that makes sense in the first place for Google translate to have a chance in hell to make sense lol

Bouwmeester was like 35 back in 2019 but playing with Pietrangelo made him better. That being said how many days of rest do teams get before the playoffs this year? Thinking Weber and other vets definitely needs that

Sometimes that can work...if your players actually have a heartbeat. Considering the Habs were D.O.A. It was never going to work that time...

so do you think bad coaching is the main reason they're playing so poorly? not necessarily disagreeing, since I have no clue of the actual details and what's really going on in the locker room, but I find it baffling that this group of players would absolutely need a communications nobel prize winner in order to give a decent effort

No idea, but seeing Weber and Staal playing hockey make me think they're ready for eternal rest.

Personally, I think it's a combination of factors (players and coach), but who is coaching is more easily changed than the whole roster.
