They did indeed. OT as well. This is why I would prefer Wahlstrom find his way back into the lineup. Dal Colle has played well, but you don't win if you can't score.

But you can’t score if you don’t take care of the puck in your zone or the neutral zone, Worse if your scored against. That said might be a good time to get him in to the line up and prove Barry wrong, which Trotz would love.

It’s not like they’re perfect in own end, zone clears, or neutral zone. There are plenty of botches. I line second, third and identify line. Feel still haven’t found the fit for Barzal and Ebs. I’d give Bellows another shot.

I think most of Wally's struggles of late have been with turnovers in the offensive zone. He's definitely had a bad run for 10 games or so.
I'd almost bet that Barry runs the same lineup Saturday save for maybe Zajac over Leo.
I'm more of a fan of letting young players play through their struggles. Hopefully Wally gets that chance soon

They have shutout the Caps for like 6 periods. There D play has been very good.
Caps get the win on the skills comp. no SO in OT. 5v5 key and I’ll take the Islanders in the POs. Their game/structure is built for the POs imo.

I’m just saying there are plenty of errors. Not like they are perfect. Throwing Bellows or Wahlstrom on top line isn’t gonna change much in defensive zone. But could be the difference in offensive zone.

I called Wally sitting a couple games ago. I just saw him struggling in the D zone and the neutral zone. Bad decisions in any zone will put you in Barry’s doghouse.
I think you maybe right with Zajac coming in for Leo. That said the Caps are such a high powered offense that Barry might just feel more comfortable with MDC vs Wally because a TO can be in your net against this Caps team.

I don’t think you will see Wally or Bellows in the next game. The caps are a great Offensive team and 1 stupid TO is in your net.
No team is perfect or every game is 0-0. They have been pretty good defensively the last few games so I’m feeling this is the lineup you will see, but for a small tweak, Leo for Zajac as Keaner said.
Don’t have a problem with it either they played a great game, both teams did.
