would you rather have the sabres:

a.) lose all five to the bruins and pretty much assure a top-3/4 pick?

b.) win all five against the bruins and drop to the 5/6 range

- Michael Pachla

I trust Don as much as I trust any veteran coach, as Don has shown exactly what, ideally, they potentially could too. The talent on this team, today, can any of you say that anyone out there right now could have a better record? The last time all of the pieces lined up like this was under Lindy, as far as what the fans expect to see out of the coach.

I am 100% with you, that Don must hire quality, experienced, modern coaches.

Girardi has 0 coaching experience and has done a very, very solid job of coaching up some young players on the D...albeit in a small number of games. So much better than that crap Smith has been a part of over 3 seasons.

When he was HC for St. Louis's AHL team he was diagnosed with Cancer, and then again when he was with Chicago he had a flare up and had to go through treatments again.

Oh jeez. Incredible he overcame it twice. Hope he can stay healthy and be the coach this team needs him to be! He deserves it!

More and more Donny seems like the perfect fit.

Win or Lose just be competitive the final stretch. Keep up the hard work and bring it into next season!

I'll take 5-6 though.

Theres going to be someone there we like.

I've mentioned this before, kagm has been "groomed" for this position for years.

Wouldn't suprise me, in regards to granato.

Others, I'm sure its lucky kim p.

Well I am not going to get into that, I just want success for this team. Mistakes have been made all along.

Guys a fighter, especially going through last year to with Pneumonia. He knows hockey. There are some good reads out there about him. Another little tip bit, when he was 15 he use to splice together scouting films from games he would watch, and sent letters out to all the NHL teams, his brothers and Sister were amazed because he would get letters sent back to him from some teams.

I’d like to see some experienced assistant coaches on Don’s staff if they bring him back next year.

Do you trust Don with guiding this team to the playoffs in what could be Eichel’s last year here if it goes south ?

No, I don't

Some people have argued that what is going on now doesn't mean anything because there is nothing to lose. There is actually a ton to lose. If you're out there with a 2 goal lead late in the third against the Penguins you're busting your ass to win a game. Also, very late in that game Donnie rolls out a defenseman playing in his first game while knowing full well he is trying to win a job. That takes giant sack.

Even better news - Borgen is back on thursday and that should result in Irwin being shot into the sun.

That’s gonna result in Samuelsson going back down though, isn’t it?
