The flyover is scheduled to happen around the harbour, downtown and kits area between 4 and 5pm tomorrow. Anyone who wished to take a picture or video may want to go to 3rd beach or the kits pool area for a good view.

It's always fun when people use the death rate with everything that has been done so far. Not without. - manvanfan
I always find it amusing that we're supposed to listen to people who have no (frank)ing clue what's going on vs the medical community because 'they know better'. |

IF I randomly claim this is the death rate does that make it right? - golfingsince
OK maybe it's 99.9700000% lol You need a 3-4% global death rate to even have 'pandemic' status...we are nowhere near that as horrible as it is that people are dying and suffering.
Just for measure:
Black Death - 51% 200 million deaths- year 1300 world pop 0.398 billion
Plague of Justinian - 19.1 % 40 million deaths - year 500 world pop 0.218 billion
Smallpox - 12.1% 56 million deaths - year 1500 world pop 0.468 billion
Antonine plague - 2.6% 5 million deaths- year 200 world pop 0.208 billion
Spanish flu - 2.5% 45 million deaths year 1919 world pop 2.828 billion
Third plague - 1.0% 12 million deaths year 1850 world pop 1.268 billion
HIV/AIDS - 0.7% 30 million deaths year 1981 world pop 4.468 billion
COVID 19 - 0.03% (as of March 15/2021) 2.7 million deaths (maybe 3 million now) world pop 7.908 billion.
So I guess you are partially right something should be done about it but was destroying lives/family businesses and economies the world over for that percentile worth it? Some may say yes some may say no. Depends on where you stand I guess.

There are just so many factors. No one person is going to be able to make all the right decisions for everyone.
They are trying to do what's best.
Randoms are just thinking about their own situations. |

Add in another 10 variables to your numbers here.
It's like you thinking Sutter is a 3lc. Just because he is paid like one doesn't make it true. There's much more involved. (to show that he isn't)

Correct again wow...rolling. Regardless of anyone's political affiliations or belief structures it was predicted that Lockdowns would cause more issues than Covid itself and here we are. Shutting down the world for a harsh flu strain with a 99.98750000% global survival rate never made sense last year and the rinse/repeat options sure don't make sense now. But...they will do it all again until 'vaccinations' become the new moniker lol. Is what it is. - LordHumungous
The death rate is closer to 3%. That 99.987% bs is taking in to account active cases as well, which makes it an incorrect number. You get the 3% by taking the amount of people who had it, no longer do and how many are alive and how many died. |

It’s 2.2% with only one death under 9 years old. As first reported by Codes (underlying health conditions). Now mind you, the 2.2% figure is a gross exaggeration as the majority of deaths are seniors who are dying anyways |

Should be a separate category for how many died from the vaccine |

Question since I'm not a partaker. 4:20 kind of hits twice a day. If you were using a 24 hour clock. 0420 the correct time to do it or 1620? |

I think you’re over-analyzing it. But 1620 is the correct answer. |

So seniors dying is a gross exaggeration?
Cases
141M
Recovered
80.4M
Deaths
3.01M
recovered and dead is 83.41m
3.01m is more than 3% of that number I believe. And of the 80.4m that recovered, many people have health issues that last months. Including(but not limited to) Heart Disease, Breathing Issues, Memory Issues. The only reason why our economy is on a downward trend is because of billionaires like Bezos hording all the money they are profiting from this pandemic. Tax them like you tax the poor and no more economical issues. Unfortunately it is better for them to give a few government officials a couple million to prevent that, in order to save billions in taxes. |

You can't use data from pandemics that have run their course and compare them to ones that are still in their infancy.
They're trying to prevent getting into a spanish flu type of situation.
Ebola for example has killed very few people, but has killed roughly 2/3's of people that have been ill with it.
A death rate would be people that have died vs people that have caught it. |

68% of deaths are people aged 80 or over. 89% are 70 or over. It’s really easy to look this sh!t up Minny. Also, life expectancy in Canada is 80. Soooo.... - CanuckDon
also take into account that people dying(younger ones too) of complications caused by Covid, are not being counted as Covid related deaths. The numbers(both recovered and dead) are probably a lot higher as well, since certain governments have been known to fudge the numbers to make their countries look better(like China as an example). Even Florida(no surprise) was caught lying about their numbers last year. |

Exactly, if a disease with a 3% death rate hit 100% of the world, over 234m people will die. I personally don't want to be one of them. |
