Didn't watch the game, was too tired, did lots of work in the basement over the weekend, and I didn't bother checking the highlights after I saw the score this morning... we're the last 2 goals empty netters?
- obie

the 3rd goal was a Pulujuarjjajaivi breakaway, the 4th one was an empty netter...

The concept of backup goalie is that he's playing on the bench....
- BashCH

The backup would be Allen, not on the ice for this hypothetical situation, which obviously was evocated with an humoristic intention more than with a spirit of scientific rigor and exactitude. But thanks for elevating our knowledge and deepening our conceptions of the world.

Why wouldn't they be able to call up Primeau?
- obie

Well, I don't see how an injury to a goalie allows them to add a forward to their lineup...

Because of money?

Wasn't the reason he couldn't dress because his salary would put them over the cap? Pretty sure if Price is out even a week, that will be enough to cover both Primeau and Caufield's prorated salaries

The problem is that they used all their recalls on fake recalls to save peanuts on byron salary before realizing that evans and caufield would fit better in the line up than eric staal.

Soooooo.... they would need a F to go down to call up Caufield on emergency?

They'll make the playoffs in the 4th seed. Whatever happens from there is whatever happens from there but it'll be enough for Molson to BS fans about progress ans run it back again, potentially even adding a year to MB's deal. It's Molson's MO. So where we go from here is same old mediocrity most likely
- Takemedrunkimhome

if they continue to play like this, they will fall out. because they will lose those games to Calgary. but either way, one of two scenarios is going to play out. they miss, which forces Molson's hand. or they scrape in and prove uncompetitive with the Leafs, which i think also forces Molson's hand. it's really, really hard to see any other scenario playing out.

I thought it was because they couldn't add anyone from the Taxi squad to the lineup as they wish (without injury). They can add 4 in the whole year and they already did it 3 times or something like that...

Molson's hand is attached to a very limp wrist. I only see one of those two scenarios forcing him into action and even then I can see him saying 21/22 is the make or break year

No idea... but if what you're saying is accurate, they would have 1 move left, might be a good idea to use it on Caufield now, no?

Context here confuses me as to why you want to go to Thailand but...it is awesome even if you avoid the ladyboys

To suggest Mete is in any way, shape or form the solution proves that your shoe size is probably greater than your IQ

are you always this dumb? or is it that you are still thawing out from a long cold winter...the D was built to be big and aggressive...Mete didn't "fit" in..because he was too small....they got rid of him...last night that big D was roasted.....thawed out yet?

Size aside...Mete isn't good enough at hockey currently. No team was even willing to offer a conditional 7th for him. Regardless of how you feel about Mete, 31 GMs decided they wouldn't give up the bare minimum of assets for him. Do with that as you will

One night in Bangkok, and the world's your oyster
The bars are temples, but the pearls ain't free
You'll find a god in every golden cloister
And if you're lucky then the god's a she
I can feel an angel sliding up to me
