not being able to create a trade market for such a terrific player is another reason Bergevin should be fired

Danny Kristo?

What I find fascinating is that the Habs tend to pick the darlings of the draft that fall and that everybody loves who look like steals. But poop just doesn't seem to work out in development. Dalton Thrower, Allan McShane, Josh Brook, Daniel Audette, Fucale, Collberg and Reway.

This happens in the NFL all the time and what I'll say is just because analysts create a list doesn't mean teams see it even slightly similar and if the analyst were actually good they'd work for a team. Guys "fall" for good reason most times

well I do feel its therapeutic properties, so it would be a bit more significant than a non-alcoholic beverage

Zachary L'Heureux this year is going to be interesting. Kid seems like a massive (frank)ing female genitalia.

You mean, other than wasting the first 5 years on the job trying to put plugs in the lineup with has-beens and 4th liners, before finally deciding that going with picks and prospects was the way?

And even now, he can't seem to help himself with getting more plugs to throw into the line-up?

Other than that, sure, decent job.

- Mashadar

i think his earlier years on the job were decent. the core of this team was solid, with a Vezina goalie, a solid defence and a few guys who could put the puck in the net. but this thing started going off the rails the year that got them the Sergachev pick. they had a chance then to do it right. Price's contract was up, Subban and Pacioretty had massive trade value. he had the flexibility and the opportunity accumulate some very significant young assets and completely reset the franchise. instead he chose to invest in established players, and we are where are. they've won 4 playoff games in 6 years and somehow have only one top-10 pick to show for it.

First round steal of that draft. Seriously. And because that photo came out draft day is the only reason

the league is full of elite players drafted outside of the top10. one would think that after 18 years Tréveur would have found one. just one.
he has not drafted a 70 pt player in over 18 years........

- fidopro

Yes this is another problem but generally the lower the draft pick the better the odds. Draft top five 3-4 years in a row and one of them will most likely be a stud. The point of my original post was Bergevin needs to follow the path with a higher success rate. Not hope to draft an elite player at 15 or win the cup as a 16th seeded team.

Makes $22m a year on a contract he negotiated himself to be league's highest paid tackle. Unfortunately for him he's in Houston but he can play
