Carey, but he last time he did was 6 years ago. since then he was average at best. - fidopro
There you have it.
Price can still have amazing stretches, he did it last playoffs and he did it in March.
But, and I cannot say this enough, he just can't score goals when we need one either.

I think the Habs biggest issue remains the lack of elite talent.
Every team needs a few guys that are just plain better.
Who's our elite player? Who's the guy that's going to make a difference?
Fact it, Bergevin bet on overall depth because we simply do not have that one special player who can score a goal like McDavid did yesterday. - Scabeh
It was supposed to be Carey Price. |

Brady Tkachuk is a good player.
He's not a franchise player, he'll never be that good.
He's bound to be a 50-55 points powerforward who will be pretty god damn important to his team.
But that's all he is.

Just asking because I can't recall - does Price have any history of concussions in the past? |

Verdict shortly. The U.S. of A will burn to the ground and KS856 will be moving to Canada is one possible outcome.. |

not with Gallagher out and Drouin MIA. with only 4 legit top6 forwards... it will be difficult. you can prevent them from scoring for a period or 2, but eventually they will score. and we can't. - fidopro
Fair enough, I'm speaking in terms of overall performance with Gallagher in the line up. On paper we're supposed to have the best D in the conference as well, but clearly that hasn't been the case. Anyway I think we can all agree this team needs to be dismantled from GM, to coach, to scouting staff, to garbage players like Drouin. Hopefully the new GM (I'm being optimistic and hoping pressure on Molson forces a change) can find a way to get out from Weber's contract (I think Price's is straight up unmovable like Gomez, except even worse) and leverage assets like Petry and their million picks into good D prospects to play with KK and Suzuki. I think they could consider selling Gallgher to a contender because he could fetch a good return, hopefully a high end D prospect like Sergachev and won't be in his prime when/if they are a contender. |

agreed. I talked about that with Obie over a year ago.
management out, Price and Weber out, Domi and Drouin out. over a year ago.
the others you keep imo, because kids should be ready, the team should be good, in 2-3 years. they will need Tatar Danault Gallagher to show the way. the so called leadership Weber and Price have need to be transfered to the next generation. |

I thought Bergevin should have been out many years ago, but Molson is always getting a hard on for Bergevin's magical plan that doesn't actually exist. Maybe I should go sell that (frank)ing moron some magic beans and magic poop. I also thought Price should have been flipped on the last year of his 6.5 million, but they signed him to an albatross instead.
Edit: I don't hate the idea of keeping Gallgher, but I figure he's liable to be declining/injured even more than he is already, so it might make sense to move him. Goodluck getting rid of Price, easily the worst contract in the league, unless a compliance buyout appears again. |
