I thought Bergevin should have been out many years ago, but Molson is always getting a hard on for Bergevin's magical plan that doesn't actually exist. Maybe I should go sell that (frank)ing moron some magic beans and magic poop. I also thought Price should have been flipped on the last year of his 6.5 million, but they signed him to an albatross instead.
Edit: I don't hate the idea of keeping Gallgher, but I figure he's liable to be declining/injured even more than he is already, so it might make sense to move him. Goodluck getting rid of Price, easily the worst contract in the league, unless a compliance buyout appears again. - apex123
oh it won't be easy, but it still needs to be done.
as for Gallagher, look at the team' results without him of the lineup. injured or not, you keep him. imho. you move the C from #6 to #11 and go from there. |

Gallagher is a question a few seasons from now when the kids mature enough and Gallagher ages (his style of play will make him age faster than most and hoping he doesn’t get hit in the hand again). As of now we need to keep him, I am just hoping one of Price, Weber and Drouin gone before beginning of next season |

I guess it depends on the return offered really for Gallagher. If a D prospect as good as Sergachev was offered, I'd do it, but otherwise I'd keep him. He's obviously a good player and a favorite of many including myself, so it's not like I'm itching to have him gone, I just think he offers the best potential return of all of the habs assets. Weber I can see going, especially to a team like Ottawa or Arizona with their internal cap garbage because he makes so few actual dollars on his contract and someone might bite. I literally cannot imagine any scenario where they get rid of Price, no matter how pressing it is. A regular buyout will have them with 5.5 million extra cap (I think) for an eternity. I'd say 2-3 firsts is what it would take to unload him or massive salary retention of probably at least 4 million. All horrible scenarios. And he has a nmc. (frank)ing Bergevin. |

Gally would sure fetch a very nice return, but you need vets to surround the kids. who else would do this better than him? |

ideally all 3 of them. but for that to happen, I'm afraid MB will have to go first.

Even if MB goes this summer I see only one of them gone before start of next season

Probably not many, but if he nets a future #1 dman it's worth giving that up imo. As we saw, it's certainly not hard to get veterans in like Perry. |

TBF, we were saying that about Gallagher this year after last year injury and yet he is still proving us all wrong. This guy is all heart and hard work. You just don’t trade that kind of player. As for Price, Weber and Drouin, I would say you can/should deal them all which is more wishful thinking than anything... |

Gallagher is still relatively young as of now, so I don’t see him slow down yet unless the injury is really serious, in 3-4 years who knows how it’s going to be. He is now the heart and soul of the team and should be the captain. As for the other three let’s see where this summer leads us |
