Thanks.

Frank it, I'm pro-Super League!

The one thing I think they need to tweak is the lack of relegation for the 15 "founding members."

Other than that, this thing is badly needed. The current system is beyond broken.

Or agree to a salary cap.

Well if showing the goalie pull it out of the net isn't enough, nothing ever will be.
- bobbyisno1

It was in. We all know it was in. Players on both sides know it was in. The refs can't be stupid enough to not know it was in. The league office (frank)ing knows it was in. But in the end the cameras didn't catch it and no one was going to have the balls to call that a goal anyways IMO. Its Leafy way and we all should be use to it and except it by now...

The only way the Leafs were going to lose is if their goaltending was poor and the opposing goalie stood on his head. In true Leafy fashion, that happened.

4 weeks or so until the playoffs. Keeping guys healthy and rested as possible is paramount.

- Aetherial

it's stunning the Canucks managed to win and not get blownout.

i expect a blowout this game though.

Completely disagree - but that's because I am in Europe, and used to much more teams and more professional leagues. I guess it's different if you look at this from a NA perspective, where you have 1 top league (which at the time is the best league in world) with 24-32 teams.
Football (translation: soccer) is a much bigger sport (if only for people that play it).

99% of european fans seem to dislike this superleague idea.
most of the (former) top players seem to dislike it.

I think JP Morgan is not understanding well that if fans are not interested in watching those games, it's a bad loan.

Not even a mention of fact vancouver won after battling worst bout of covid for a pro sports team? Not a lot to cheer for in van, think that could have been at least recognized ... or questioned as to how TML lost that game.

Bad hits happen. Bad hit, suspended. If injured worse, probably would have been suspended longer as is custom ... whether league wants to admit or not.

The Leafs dominated and their winning goal was not seen by the refs, so the Nucks got lucky. If the high point of the season is being gifted a nothing game, that just shows the sad state of the Nucks. They should hang a banner about last night's game I guess.
- Zezel

Wow, do we misuse the term "dominated" around here a lot.
Umm no other camera in the arena caught that "goal" either.

Roope Hintz with another two points yesterday, to have 37 points in 32 games.
He's now in top 20 (11th) in NHL in points/games played. (playing 18mins a night, including PK -- Dallas likes to give all 4 lines good TOI).

In the meantime, Willie the floater cannot be bothered to show up on time for a team meeting - obliging his coach to leave him out of the lineup while he was actually playing well last game...

Fans will watch it.

Fans from all around the world.

it's the logical next step - adding a higher level to the pyramid to ensure some competition.

The only reason fans watch Premier League now is because there isn't a better alternative.

Will this suck as a Southampton fan?

Yes, but it already sucks to be a Southhampton fan.

And it's not a valid argument for creating a more competitive league.

Cool, use video replay. We can argue about whether the puck went in after the play was over. We can all see it and argue over it.

The idea that there is some absolute scientific way to determine if thereโ€™s a goal that everyone will accept is absurd. Will everyone run out and buy the home NHL GPS system and run our own simulations and then argue about it here?

- Canada Cup

But they did show him pull it out of the net, ref should be able to judge whether or not on a quick whistle.
