Bahl was pretty sheltered tonight, which isnt a surprise in his first game, but he actually played pretty well. I'm surprised. Kept the game simple, was strong along the boards and had an okay transition game. It was definitely better than i expected after watching him this season in Bingo |

I haven't seen him in the Bing and I missed the game because my son had hockey practice; but yeah that's seems odd. There are plenty of guys who are good in the AHL but can't transition to the NHL but I can't think of anyone who was the other way around. Regardless, I'm glad it went decently. |

He has Hal Gill written all over him. A true leashpost. I think if they want anything more out of him, they'll have to keep him in the A another one or two years. It just seemed to me like, despite having the game he had, he was in over his head... yep, even at 6'6.
It'd be funny if NJ ended up getting Power and then pairing him with Bahl. Then they'd call them the lottery duo. (I'm still team Hughes, though) |

Hal Gill I'll take.
Bahl can actually skate well, especially for a big dude. And he has good puck movement. I don't think he will be a slouch.
Bahls first shift was at 18:00 of the first. (Cang missed his first shift, he later said his second shift was his first - he's getting the Dano brain)
He made a slick move: faked a pass, then spun back around with a flyer right on him along the board. 18:04 of the first if you wanna see it again.
It was a small play, but showed how agile he can be.
Im excited for Bahl.

Foote has been sent back to Bingo. The right move with him. Please put him on a line with Holtz |

I love how Smith in one season became our top defender. He's so calm, good and smart. - Leniwm1
Smith is fantastic. He has been a bright spot on this tough season. Add the fact that he was a RD last season in the WHL, and our log-jammed underperforming RD's forced him onto the left side, he still found instant success. He will probably win team MVP this year.
Tho it irks me to see Rookies easily outplaying our vets seemingly overnight, the future is bright. Just need to ship some of the dead weight out to free up some roster spots. Hopefully Walsh and Shak can follow Smiths footsteps next.

I was referring to some others who have been suggesting trading him. I’m indifferent. |

Brandt Ckarke was a forward, then moved to D. Now he is No.3 on scouting list. |

Lmao definitely easier to make that swap at a younger age and not at a pro level. They have D sitting out as a healthy scratch too, which is strange |

Mayne these forwards need a lesson in defensive responsibility. So the coach said, you gonna learn the hard way! |

His defensive skill and pk ability is enough reason to keep him around. It’s not like he’s making 8 mil and not producing. So we trade him and get worse, not sure why anyone would want to do that. |

I saw that today too. And on an individual level, Hughes is tied for most in the league with Draisaitl at 8. Sharangovich is also top 10 in the league(tied for 3rd most) with 6 |
