The fair trial.

Certain defendants deserve the benefit of the doubt?

Others should be thrown to dogs. Or have their necks kneeled on.....for 9 f****ing minutes. After they're already dead, for no reason other than civilians seem to be watching and recording you.

Ok, everything you just said has nothing to do with my statement. The guy dies of a drug overdose. Should Chauvin have let up? Absolutely. Should George Floyd have complied? Yep. If all the evidence was presented, including stuff we don't see, and the jury and judge feared for their lives (rightfully) if they ruled on what they see instead of Maxine Waters opinion? Would they not be in grave danger?

Those jurors and judge would be hunted down and killed.

Its not my fault you idiots cant have a rational thought and see past all your SJW emotion.

And Im not saying he wouldn't or shouldn't be convicted. I am saying he was always going to be convicted no matter what was presented.

And they will have a great appeal because of that fact.

Hamilton is what this team needs. I'd happily pay him $9-10M for whatever years.

He's not what the fans want, however.

- Tomahawk

I would happily pay him also, he is what this team needs in terms of a 1A defenseman that can QB the power play. The Flyers do also need to get more physical and tougher to play against on defense, but they can do this by getting another Dmen in trade. And you know who I want

I actually doubt you are capable of rational thought or even know what it means. But for the record:

1. No autopsy report said he died because of meth and fentanyl. The first one said the drugs might have caused him, along with his heart condition, to have a more deadly reaction from the asphyxiation. It would be quite the coincidence if the drugs in his system suddenly caused him to die right at the moment someone was kneeling on his neck.

2. The vast, vast, vast majority of such cases result in acquittal/non-prosecution. This includes Eric Garner, which was almost as high profile, and also accompanied by huge protests. There have been no instances, ever, of any judge, attorney, or juror being "hunted down and killed" in such cases. There is however a judge who had her son killed last year by a right wing nutjob.

Dougie is very very good. I would be thrilled to have him. But where are you getting the news about his availability from? For Jones, the rumors have swirled for years. I am aware of none such re: DH.

Tough to watch the Video. I thought open and shut case. I expect more from the police as should everyone.

He was never going to get a fair trial. The judge and jury need to find him guilty or their lives would be in danger.

Ok you bloody wankers, I have said three times I spent a year (8th grade) in India. How long do I have to keep the monotone and the straight face before y'all get it?

On an unrelated note, today is a happy day for soccer. The scurrilous, depraved, US-Canada model of a non-relegation soccer league is on the verge of collapsing as we speak. Politicians have promised brutal action if the super league follows through. It will be fully dead within days.

Here is one of the most decorated soccer players in UK history speaking out today.

and the kind of protests that led to its collapse.

I think you have a case, I think all of the D should be better next season, how could they not be. If they could find the Nisk of 2021 I would be fine with that, I just don't see it. It was lighting in the bottle with Nisk, coming off a down year, he wanted to bounce back and his skillset was perfect for the D core and Provy. Having that happen again is a long shot. They need to compete next season, they need a D, if you can get Dougie, go for it.

The good news, no Flyer improved their contract negotiation status, sign them all now....

- wcorvette

The D has looked terrible this year and requires serious improvement with both coaching and execution. But remember, the goaltending has been terrible adjusted for expectations. I believe the Flyers have given up more than 30 goals above expectations taking into account shot frequency and location. Most certainly, poor defense with bad goaltending makes the defense corps look worse than it has been. Hopefully 2021-22 will bring about a renewal in the performance of all of our defenders as well as goalies. I really want to root for Myers success because of his physical talent, but man does he need to figure it out now that he will be in 3rd year.

Dougie Hamilton is a UFA at the end of this season, unless he resigns with Carolina before that happens.

They can only protect so many dmen from Seattle. Committing to Hamilton means that either Jake Bean or Brady Skjei are gonzo.

And Dougie's supposedly lost a step (or two) already. They may not want to see how much slower he can get over the life of a max term contract.

Yeah, he gets beat like Braun from time to time, but the poop he can do when the team has the puck more than makes up for it.

Like I said, he's not what the fans want.
