this player is very intriguing...saw some tape on him before getting to your piece and like what you wrote here
5.) Fabian Lysell, RW, SHL (1/19/03)
5’10, 168lbs
26gp, 2g, 3pts
You have no idea how bad I wanted to put Lysell at number two on this list. An absolute rocket on the ice who has the best combination of puck skill and speed in this class. Lysell is going to make teams look silly who pass on him if he gets out of the top five of this draft. With the NHL trending towards favoring forwards who play at high pace: Lysell is the cream-of-the-crop when it comes to generating offence off the rush and being able to play at a high-octane pace. - Michael Pachla
His playing style is like Marner he's the wild card in the draft could go 5th or just drop but I don't see him dropping |

Don't look now but Mike Hoffman now on pace for 28 goals, 28 assists across an 82 game season.

I don't want to trade Sam until I see if Skinner/Eichel/Reinhart still have their mojo. Unfortunately, I do understand it comes down to $.
Will Oloffson continue to mature and grow into a more complete player? If the answer is no, he is what he is, a one trick pony, then I would rather trade him than place him in a 4th line role.
As for the goalies, i prefer:
21/22 - Ulmark / Bernier(someone posted earlier)
22/23 - Ulmark OR Bernier / 6K
23/24 - 6K / Backup |

The problem you run into is when injuries inevitably hit these lines are going to be jumbled
I like the idea of the ATM line as the third line or one of the middle six lines
I personally would rather see Cozens on the top RW to start and acquire another Winger and start Reinhart at center
Skinner/Eichel/Cozens
LW target or Ruostolainen /Reinhart/RW target or Bjork
ATM
Olofsson/Whoever/Who cares
I think Reinhart would work with Bjork/Ruostolainen and Cozens would give Eichel a big, fast, skilled power forward on his line - sbroads24
That seems like quite a bit of unnecessary realignment t of skill, production and force fitting vs playing Sam with Jeff a d Jack as they have proven to be highly effective.
Cozens was b IP rrn to be a 2C and a perfect fit behind Jack. |

this is the reason i'm not too worried about dropping in the 2021 draft...he strengthens the top-four forward pool and with at least two d-men going top-3/5 the sabres could drop to 6th and still get one of those forwards |

I asked about him yesterday, as for many rankings, he is further down the list.
If the Sabres pick at 5 or after, he would be a strong consideration. |

Yup, many have him at 10th or lower...couple close to that in 9 and 8.
Not many with top 5...but he could be very dangerous. |

his skating/edgwork is phenomenal, plays at a high pace, finds open ice (of which there is a lot of in sweden,) is very aware of what's going on around him and where he needs to be, and his skating allows for a quick, flawless transition to where the play is headed |

Cozens is a future star. But he’s young, has played wing half this season, and hasn’t been durable
I’m not penciling him in as a full time 2/3C yet
Granato likes Reinhart at center. If he’s hired that’s where he’s playing |

We should keep him in Consideration but I don't see us ending up at 5th it will most likely be
beniers, guenther, eklund
And if buffalo is looking for a sniper lucius Could be in that discussion |

Dude you made me go watch and you're not wrong
It's pretty much on par with Sid Vicious in WCW snapping his leg and that one kid in the NCAA basketball from several years back whose leg shattered when he landed. |

I understand you mean he plays like Marner, and not going to delve to far into him as I don't know as much as other prospects, but where's the production? Marker was a 2p/g on the OHL his draft season. This guy has 3 points in 26 games. Better league I get it, but I would expect more for a sure fire top 5 pick. Maybe I'm not seeing it, but he has wheels and is creative but no finish? He hasn't exactly been a high point getter in any league other then his U15 team, which who cares |

Like I asked gerbs, where's the finish? He screams the joke to me about Swedes and their flashy style. He's all Swedish, but no Finnish |

It’s the SHL and he’s young.
Not high scoring league and younger guys don’t get a ton of ice time.
I haven’t looked it up so I could be wrong on the ice time part

won't argue that...he's playing a limited role for a very good lulea team that relies heavily on vets |

why are we moving mitts or cozens to wing?...to fit reinhart in?
how does that make sense?

Maybe.
I'd put Cozens at 2C, knowing Sammy boy can pick up the slack if need be without forcing Mitts up.
We think differently..it's all good. |

I’d agree with that too but I think Cozens can be a scary duo with Eichel.
Long term I want Cozens at center but he’s been injured a lot so far in his career going back to last prospects camp
