It's crazy that Kaprizov's contract is up in the summer he's going to get max payment I'm thinking 8m a year - gerbe75pts
That kid deserves it. Good, maybe it helps with my question in the posts above. |

Defense coming up is pretty stong but to be fair we don't have a number 2 to go with Dahlin. No one projects to that position.
Trade Reinhart for a top 2 defender or at least the best defenseman we can get for him and trade risto for a top 6 to fill the gap
Thats how I feel. Johnson, Samuelsson, Laaksonen, Bryson and Borgen are all nice pieces but none are going to fill that number 2 spot. - sabresfan69
Dahlin’s pair has looked pretty darn good since he’s been playing with Jokiharju
U don’t need to have another stud paired with Dahlin for the pair to be effective
Looks like they’ve got chemistry
So keep them together instead of trying to overpay for Dougie Hamilton or something like that |

St. Louis with Parayko and Pietrangelo
Dallas with Klingberg and Heiskenen
There is 7 or 8 teams with two high end skilled defenders. - sabresfan69
Pietrangelo is on Vegas
And he & Parayko were NOT partners when they played together in StL anyways- both RH shots |

here's a question i don't know the answer to...
a player is set to make $10m with $5m in bonuses and plays for vegas...we know that 1/2 of his games played out of state are subject to state taxes while the half he plays in-state are not taxed...
is the bonus included in that?...or is that one-time payment subject only to the tax of the state where their team plays? - Michael Pachla
99% sure it’s the latter |

scandella was a reaction to the bowmeester injury
hoffman was signed after piets walked
Faulk IMO was the move that clinched them not affording Pieterangelo - homiedclown
I think it was Krug that really did it
He was willing to take 7.5mil (i think) & Pietrangelo wanted more |

Same was said about him and Borgen together in TC a couple, three years ago. As it was said last year with Miller.
I just have a very, very hard time believing that two cream puff style players will lead us to the promised land when the board battles and net front physical play goes through the roof.
I may be wrong though...but just don't see it. |

I think “#2” D man and Dahlin’s partner don’t have to be mutually exclusive.
I think Jokiharju could be it but I wouldn’t mind a high end D man addition |

Dude neither Jokiharju or Dahlin are soft. And it’s rare a 20/21 year old D man has fully developed their physical game.
Dahlin is not a small boy and he isn’t shy to make contact |

Dahlin can be physical
And i bet we will see it even more as he gets bigger & stronger, AND more comfortable playing out there
Plus, u don’t have to be Pronger to win board battles or move a guy on front of the net
I don’t have the numbers, but it seems to me like Dahlin & Jokiharju are adept at getting the puck out of the zone & up ice
Don’t have to worry about the net front when the puck is in their zone

I’m glad they gave Borgen the night off so he can really pay attention to 55 and then does the exact opposite |

Wasn’t Risto’s job to cover Zibanejad there
& it was a weak goal let in by Tokarski
You’re trying way too hard to blame him |

Wow, what a pass from Fox. He can now be considered generational because of that one play that one time. |
