Was about to ask the same... Is Samuelsson ready to stay? - DirtyDan
Think he should be playing big minutes in Rochester with Laaksonen next year, but who knows. |

He could start in Roch next year but he won't be there long if he is. No point in blocking him.

give seattle the rights to olofsson in exchange for them taking miller?
that has the potential to be a disaster if olofsson completes his game, but i'd take the gamble that he is who he is - robz228
109 games 35 goals 40 assists. 75 points.
228 has made his final decision and he's ready to gamble.
Wouldn't it make sense to "give" the rights to someone who's not 2nd in team scoring? Just a thought?
Maybe someone super tall or from Latvia. Wouldn't want to mention any specific names.... |

Thing with McCabe is will he even be ready, that's a nasty knee injury to come back from. |

Eh.
They need to add a top 6 LD. Preferably a top 4.
They can’t have one side of the ice be Samuelsson and Bryson if Dahlin were to miss any significant time |

Sabres can't let dahlin leave. Sure he's still 869th out of 869 nhl players +/-. Trailing your guy eric staal by only 6.
But, lock down your future, now.
Biggest fear is the aho contract offer by the habs.
Having another team dictate the terms of our stars.
Hope we can keep this civil (engineer) today ☝️🤝 - Boss34
Not sure why it became uncivil in the first place.
Dahlin isn't going anywhere. Some bridge deals might be pretty popular this year with the flat cap. Do a 3x4yr with Joker. 5 x 2 yr with Dahlin. Think that might interest him and the team. |

well if olofsson goes to arbitration they're going to look at his goals and give him a fat ruling i'd imagine
his next contract is going to be a burden

They can add a vet that they aren't afraid to put in the press box. Let the kids keep playing.

I guess with the way everythings gone this year theres no reason to bring him back... let the young ins grow.
I'd still see if hes interested at all in a 1 year deal, if he's not ready Samuel can jump in and fill his spot.
Have the kid play big minutes in Roch and come up when nedded

Casino is low-rent Goodfellas. Which still makes it a good movie, but the original is better. - Wetbandit1
You may be correct. I watched Casino first back in the day. Didn’t see Goodfellas til a few years later.
James Woods character was well played. |

Not bad cong, interesting what you paid Ullmark and you really think Joker will get a 2m raise. - Buff36
That is JCragCrumple's (Hank) base idea before any trades or the expansion draft is held.
It's just meant to show that signing Reinhart is not hampered by the contracts of Okposo or Skinner. |

Love the show. Disgusting working condition's, called out. Why clean? 🤔 - Boss34
You mean the owner’s wife shouldn’t ride her horse into the bar and poop all over the floor?
But one thing I learned from that show is how to make a cocktail. You gotta shake it and smile at the customer. |

Wouldn't that bring Jokiharju to the final year of RFA status before becoming a UFA?
I'd rather either do a short 2 year bridge or try to go the max 7-8 year deal with him and bank on it being a value contract down the road. |

Dahlin on a bridge deal seems high at 5/6
Same reasoning, 25 solid games gets you a 5xish raise?
I'd pay dahlin close to max on 8 years - yesterday
8 x 8.5 = 8 for 70ish in my opinion. - Boss34
I would bet on a bridge for 4.5/5 for Dahlin. He may have had his struggles, but he's shown flashes of pure dominance in the offensive end. His agent can also point to just about everyone improving on the roster without Ralph for leverage. I would like to go long term to get him locked in instead of hamstringing ourselves again like Reinhart, but is what it is. IMO bridges give a little more $ value to the player as the teams still control rights, and basically get 3 more years of evaluation. Players usually get a little compensation for that. Maybe I'm wrong tho. |

All for letting the youngins grow, been talking up are D prospects for awhile, but still would like McCabe if ready on a short term deal like you said. Still think Samuelsson needs a little growth, he looks a little hesitant out there compared to how he was playing in Rochester. Think him and Laaksonen playing big minutes together gives you the chance to bring up a set pair in 2yrs. |

If he's taken, I don't think anyone will mind. Find it hard to believe that Seattle will take someone coming off the injury he has tho. |

If you think he outplays a $3M cap hit by the end of next season, then why not really try to make it a value contract and see if he'll sign a 7 or 8 year deal? |

No one is going to pay him 6-7 million to not play even half the games.
