Where tage be at? - Mentalorgasm5
I wrote it out with Thompson there, then I made some swaps and forgot to put him back.
I think the team has the ability to lose one of VO, Asplund, Tage, R2. Expose one of the former three in the draft. Or better yet, trade one and incentivize Seattle to take Eakin for a 3rd. |

24 shot attempts and 55 blocked 25% of them ☝️
And being outshot by a top 3 line in all of hockey. 🤔

6th rd pick - homiedclown
Wow, that's basically zero incentive.
A 6th being a late 6th kind of.
No reflection on great28, because someone around here will be really upset, but......
I think the pick is more (2nd or 3rd) rounder or maybe a few picks.
I think borgen is still the man on the hot seat.

Have you been watching these games?
These kids are making a difference. They don't all have to turn out to be top line players. - Powerslave
I have and i never said they did.
Current most of these kids don't have top end talent. Id trade most of them for a guy like Kucherov, Bill Karlsson, Alex Tuch etc.
AS it stands this roster is not a playoff roster.
Picking a guy 3-4 overall is not going to change that.

Possibility that they decide to sign Ullmark above market value seeing as he's proven to be a 1b at least out the gate. How many of them are going to be exposed? Ullmark makes more, the Sabres don't loss anyone under contract, certainly a possibility right? |

What if Borgen plays with the personality of Ristolainen, but doesn't take dumb penalties, can move the puck efficiently, score at a quarter of the pace, and, wait for it..
defend. All for a 5th of the price. Who's on the hot seat, here.

So you're Ron francis, and you select great28 over tall timber tage and/or borgen.
Just to trick the fan base. 🤔
Maybe the fan base wouldn't realize the kracken are paying skimmer 9 million per for a 10 goal paced season.

Perhaps, but unfortunetly he has a NMC. Better to just accept he's here and hope for a rebound. I don't have anything against Girgs, but if he's the selection, I would be thrilled. I just see guys with higher upside then what he brings. |

Picking a guy 3-4 adds a top end prospect to your organization. it also helps to have 9 other fliers to try and find the future impact players for your org.
Believe me, exactly zero people here think our saving grace sits at the top of the 2021 NHL draft for the 21-22 season.
The draft is important for the future, trades and free agents and guys pushing for spots is important for the present.

Why is Borgen not protected? I don't think Seattle would select Risto even if he were left unprotected. It would come down to Asplund, Girgensons and Miller and you give them the Staal 5th to take Girgensons. Crisis averted |

Dahlin the 21 year old had a 30% xG and had the majority of the TOI against the Bergeron line (not good results but hopefully they can learn from it).
Risto had a 9.52 % xG and a majority of that was against the Lazar and Coyle lines. On the ice for 5 chances for and nearly 25 against.
The Clifton goal, Risto was punching lazar instead of trying to swipe the puck out of the crease.
