The Tyler Myers comparison comes from the physicality and height. Power plays more like Hedman.

I didn't read last night's posts but here are my takes from last night's game:

- 55 just needs to go. I read on twitter that the shot attempts with him on the ice were something like 24 against to a handful for. This isn't new. He isn't good. I know this board rags on him all of the time but I thought Miller and Bryson were pretty good last night.

- This past week is the perfect example of why I am not paying 23 good money. In one game out of three he is noticeable. When the team is struggling to drive play like it was last night he can't help.

I find the Reinhart narratives odd

He’s matched up against top pairs and guys like Bergeron, Backstrom, Crosby etc and is at a plus XGF% at a position he’s not used to playing, with two linemates who either are poor top 6 players (Olofsson) , and another guy who was on the 4th line all year.

The Sabres are paying Okposo and Eakin 8.1 mil to do absolutely nothing. I’d be more than happy to just pay Reinhart 7 of that

Perhaps, but unfortunetly he has a NMC. Better to just accept he's here and hope for a rebound. I don't have anything against Girgs, but if he's the selection, I would be thrilled. I just see guys with higher upside then what he brings.

Reinhart leads the team in goals, and is scoring at a 32 goal pace for an 82 game season. If that's "going through the motions", I apologize for appreciating the amount of offense.

And the reason I hammer on Ristolainen more than almost anyone else is because Ristolainen brings the most damage to this team at the highest price. At least Eakin hardly plays anymore. Having Risto on the ice is like having Eakin on the ice, for 3x as long. If he's not sitting on the point on the powerplay, he's absolute trash, most of the time.

Skinner, while being vastly overpaid, keeps the offense going in the other end. No, he does not earn his paycheck. But he also provides positive shooting contributions.

Risto is the biggest detriment on this team at the price point and playing time.

Name a successful team that pays there top defenseman 8+ million dollars... Sure you can be a top 16 team in the league but your not winning a cup with an 8 million dollar defenseman... Same can be said about a 13 million dollar Centre... Some of these guys make to much for where the cap sits.

Nobody on their team makes more than 7.8.... except their GOALIE. They pay 9 guys between 4 and 7.8 million... They also can do that cause they don't have state tax.....
