I think there's a few other factors though, seeing what the kids can do, pairing him with all the young kids and situational hockey. Risto also has taken some foolish penalties recently. Ice time being cut , should let everyone know its unacceptable.

and what i see is granato is sheltering risto 5 on 5 with both ice times and matchups

IF granato is signed AND they extend risto, then that makes no sense at all

Its been 8 years of losing for him.

I think there's a 99% chance donnie is the Sabres coach next year.

At the very minimum, he has young players playing their best hockey.

Although a 2-7-1 finish may hurt.
