Marner passes to a guy with his back to him skating to the Bench, yikes - burn
Right? He completely killed that play. That's the opposite of his job. |

Thats the thing. We have got to stop the blind drop and leave the puck type passes. We have started getting a bit more lazy in that regard. |

No. Had Runners season tickets and there for workin the Star Wars night games in costume. Got to go in the Marlies room to get my game worn Runners jersey end of season. They had them all hanging in the players stalls so turned into a big hang out meet an greet type event. - Roadrunner75
We got to use it on rare occasions- but iirc, we couldn’t use the showers.
You wonder why they didn’t build a permanent one. |

Nylander is arguably more skilled than Marner.
He just doesn’t have the consistent effort. - DrunkenCanuck

Wrong twice there Archie. Marner is more talented, maybe not hugely more but he’s better on his edges and has better hands. And the Nylander doesn’t try thing doesn’t hold up. He’s been far more energetic. |

Funny. Friedman says that the Canucks did a good job of causing turnovers.
Maybe they did? When I watched, I watched a team making stupid unnecessary and unforced passes into Vancouver players. I saw at least three pass attempts that had an exactly 0% chance of success - and I honestly am not crediting Vancouver with Toronto's early poor play. They were forcing stupid plays into stupid areas.
I don't know if that's just me, but I saw it more a product of Leaf players making poor decisions than being forced into making those poor decisions. |

He's been getting caught on those kinds of plays as the games are getting tighter leading to the playoffs. The hope plays and soft passes are ok early in the year when teams are getting it together but this time of year those often go back the other way as scoring chances. Even worse in the playoffs. |

Yeah.
Still sweet to get to use it and do that walk though damn on the stairs into the bench. Remember Valliquette and Morrison both said they HATED that |

Again, he's not under duress. Take a moment and LOOK. Under duress that play happens, and whatever . . . it sucked that the high guy was changing and you didn't get a chance to look. But if you've got the puck and the other team are dead tired and they are in passive protect mode - look the (frank) around and make sure you know where your teammates are before you move the puck. |

Have to agree. Had control of it, no real pressure. Make sure, control the puck. Keep them pinned in there. |

It’s bizarre that I am questioning the play of Matthews, but here goes:
Far too often, if Matthews gets a rush on net and ends up with the puck behind the net, he just throws it blindly in front.
I’d like to see him do something a little more purposeful. |

Id like to take this logic and tie it to everything Marner is doing everywhere lately. Be more purposeful. |

Human Marvel... yes, I’ve seen your posters at the Burlington Rib Fest.
Kawartha Lakes had a flavour called Sweet Heat.
Phenomenal, so much so I may bump my Vanilla Fudge Crackle to 2nd.
They only made it one season. I’d eat a commercial ice cream parlour tub full if I could ever find it again. |
