Same but add to this McGuilty being a POS before Wynne bag got in.

The only thing that makes me think I might have to hold my nose and vote Conservative is by thinking to myself how much better or worse off would Ontario have been if we had Horwath or Del Duca as the premier?

To me it's like asking which tennis ball you want to take square to the nuts and your trying to figure out which one has less air in it. They area all going to hurt like hell.

- Cush29

Horvath and Del Duca are non-options for me.

I dunno, maybe Green party? The leader riding is in Guelph, so my vote is (frank)ed anyway, might as well join them.

Obviously, I cannot be impartial about teachers. My opinion also runs contrary to what I discovered when I looked into the numbers, but I still agree that teachers should have been first. Their number of potential contacts was just too great, in an environment with very little adherence to policy (grade 1) and impossible to social distance because of class sizes. and it is critical for kids health and development and the function of our society as a whole that kids go to school.

LTC
Health Care
Teachers
Age Brackets / Workers in Essential industries (acknowledging that this is a very tangled web to figure out)

If this pandemic taught people 1 thing, that thing should be that teachers are far more important than anyone stopped to think about.

Education is the area where I have the most problem with Ford and the reason I would not vote for him, or PC for that matter. I simply don't like his policies regarding schools.

- Aetherial

They should turn all public schools private with no public option. Give parents a voucher.

Here is a question I want answered.

I have read endless piling on, on Ford for not prioritizing the hot spots until he finally did.

How come Federally, we are distributing the vaccine by population (has this changed very recently). Some provinces have VERY little spread province-wide, yet have similar vaccination rates to Ontario. Ontario is 8th among the provinces and territories in vaccination % (at least one dose), yet our infection numbers are higher than anywhere in the country.

Yet, the Federal Gov. gets ZERO heat for their vaccination distribution, from all those same doctors and Non-conservative politicians.

Interesting.

- Aetherial

Trudeau was asked about that last week and said the agreement/contract was between the Provinces and they'd have to agree to re-allocate or amend the agreement.

I believe the Nfld Premier was asked and responded with "G'wan! I knows you're not stun!"

Honestly Wedgie, I don't know what to do. I don't like the Liberals. I think Wynne was a disaster and Trudeau a repeat criminal. I can't vote Conservative anymore and I will never vote NDP.

It's frustrating.

I know I''l be flamed by our resident man of the people but...

In all seriousness, it sucks that you feel so negatively towards them all. You and I may differ on a lot of political perspectives but I think we both generally want to see the same kinds of good outcomes. There were really good people in the government's of all three parties in power provincially even though I hated a lot of things that Harris did. I liked a few of his Ministers and I like Wynne a lot. IMO you gotta take the Dermotts with the Matthews (ok there aren't any Matthews but the politicians we get aren't a bad reflection of who we are).

Well congrats I guess, but I can't agree with not taking the AZ.

Just me I guess. Told the wife, you take whatever you want. I'll wait this thing out. We live in the country, and we're very fortunate for that. We only go for groceries every three weeks. Have another small store just 20 minutes away for the odd thing.

If I lived in a highly populated area such as Ontario, I would most likely take what ever is offered. I truly feel for everyone in that Province. Have some friends in the Barrie area who are still waiting for their dose.

We're seeing a lot of folks coming into this little province now. Homes are selling above asking price for the first time in my lifetime.

Hang in there folks. we'll get thru this.

I got Pfizer last Monday. No side effects to report besides some arm soreness, but that could also be the 12 rounds I went with myself the day before. I don’t know, in COVID the days in solitude just blend together.

My wife waited for Pfizer, and was able to get an appointment 2 weeks after me. A number of the teachers in her school are now getting AZ because, despite being a "priority" they are now battling with all the other priorities and have no idea when they will get Pfizer or Moderna.

Wife got her first dose of Pfizer this past Saturday, she is a teacher.. I can now qualify for the AZ shot, but wife thinks I should wait until the Pfizer/Moderna is available for my age group.

None of my family in Florida had any side effects from Pfizer.

I heard the states has opened up 16+ now for vaccines.

Honesty Pat, if you are able to get AZ I would do it. I am not sure there has been 1 clotting case of a male over 40?

At the end of the day, what matters is hospitalization and death, and they are all pretty much the same effectiveness against these things.

Don't. Ontario's been hosing everyone since confederation. There's a 99.8% or greater survival rate for this thing...

Ontario will be back to milking the other regions dry soon enough in all things. It's always gotten a greater share of per capita spending from the feds.

lucky for you that the federal conservatives are now liberal. just perhaps without the ethics violations, lies, etc

The Harper government sure was known to be squeaky clean on the ethics and honesty front if nothing else.

Do the research, but from what I understand, the bloodclotting from AZ has been limited to only females (and a certain age bracket, but I can't recall).

I got the AZ this morning, and I'm grateful.

Are we still doing that thing where we divide total covid deaths by the number of people on earth and consider that to be the survival rate?

I thought humanity had evolved enough to understand that total infected is your baseline, not the entire human race. 🤦🏻‍♂️

This is so laughably false.

It's not just that you are so stupid, it's that you are so proud of being so stupid.

Anyone who's ever stepped into a first year university Canadian politics knows this to be 100 per cent false.

You're a moron.

A perfect moron.

Note to everyone: be prepared for him to point out that Ontario right now is a "have not" province. He has no idea how the system works, and even after I tell him how he is wrong, he will still cling to his idiotic beliefs.

Because he's a moron.

Yeah not sure where this comes from, even in Alberta where more than one of your neighbours has 'stop equalization now' signs on their front lawns... They're blaming Quebec. Not Ontario. 🤦🏻‍♂️
