My son always plays goalie in road hockey has all the gear. Even decent road hockey gear is not cheap. I swear I have had this exact conversation with him.

Some things do not change with time.

Yeah, a lot of us were pissed when he was re-signed, but man he turned that anger into happiness pretty quickly.

Koskinen has played a lot better since Smith came back.

10 games in a row for a tender is too much and the guy didn't have a break.

They started the season 3-6, and Smith came back for the 11th game. Their record since then has been much better. The only time they really showed issue is the 3 game series against the Leafs, but they showed they can beat them

Absolutely, him coming back turned the Oilers around for sure. I do think like the Leafs, they Oilers will need to address the goalie situation in the offseason. I actually wonder if Andersen ends up being a fit.

I had no idea what we were getting into when my kid said he wanted to play hockey and that he wanted to be a goalie. He first game was at a place called the Pond, small ice surface, 3 on 3. They scored 28 times on him. I wasn’t sure how to read the look on his face when he came off the ice but he didn’t say a word till we got in the car then he just asked when the next game was.
