Player's that have grown their games under him have been older guys like Miller, Pearson. That's really it.
Young talented prospect tend to come in and be what they are. Not many players that have come in and been better than they were on the last clubs or many young players that have grown up through the ranks and improved once they have hit the NHL. - manvanfan
True and I'm not advocating keeping Green long-term...but he has grown as a coach along with some players. If folks believe that Benning handcuffed Green a bit this year with roster changes because of the cap it is what it is. Many didn't want Marky and Tanev back at those numbers and losing Stecher and Leivo was insignificant. Would Petey, Bo, Hughes, Demko and Boeser be even better under a different coach? Well one could make that argument but like you said good players and prospects are good for a reason regardless of a lot of the coaching impacts. |

Hey Don, I thought you said the hospitals were empty?
NEW - British Columbia is cancelling around 1,750 surgeries in Metro Vancouver due to capacity issues in hospitals linked to COVID-19 pressure. There are 9 hospitals moving to urgent surgeries only. This will be in place for two weeks. #bcpoli #COVID19BC |

I was thinking if he got an offer sheet in excess of 9 million, not that any team has the cap space to do it. - Shuswap Wap
Understood. But I wouldn’t even allow it to get to an offer sheet situation. I would make signing EP a priority. |

Just got the update from Victoria Lee and Fraser Health hospitals are at 97.8% full/capacity. I’m no math expert but it suggests that we have only 2.2% of our total bed count empty right now.
We are totally overwhelmed right now. Not just with covid patients, but also all the other health issues that plague our society including all the overdose patients. It’s pretty much the perfect storm. |

There are 500 people in the hospital in BC. If the province can’t handle 500 patients then perhaps there are larger problems that need to be investigated. Codes? bloated? Thoughts? |

With COVID, yes. They don't just spread those patients willy-nilly, they are in dedicated wards, closed of to the rest of the hospital. ICU beds are filling up and staff are being transferred to other wards & hospitals which have patients with other needs in them.
You childish petulance is quite pathetic, even if you end up getting the Pfizer vaccine you can't join ASL & my Pfizer Gang. |

True. No argument from me.
Before covid Fraser Health Authority, which serves 1.9 million people, has 80 ICU beds in total. That’s across 14 hospital sites... TOTAL!
That’s publicly funded healthcare for you. |

Thoughts on what?
People are forgetting that all of us in Healthcare had FTE responsibilities before covid hit. Those responsibilities don't get put on the back burner, covid just got added to our plates. It's virtually the same in every department. The ICU has been no exception. Nothing needs to be investigated, it's the opposite, Healthcare workers need to be rewarded and applauded if you ask me. I could not imagine being a respiratory therapist, icu nurse/doctor, biomedical engineer, emergency doctor during these times. |

Yup. One number that impressed me was that in the last 24 hours Fraser Health has vaccinated 19,070 people, 76,786 people were vaccinated province wide in the last 24 hours. |
