PodK will be ready. Other than that, OJ if you consider him a rookie.
Lind and Rathbone are on the edge. Another full year in Utica might do them good. - NewYorkNuck
I see Pod ready for mid 6. OJ is not ready for top 4 minutes & the role. Lind & Rathbone if they make the roster most likely they will be depth players. Too many rookies to believe all will make the team especially if expectations are to keep improving. |

He's had a handful oh AHL games, I want to see him get some games this year to judge. His skating, passing, shot are all good enough. If he looks like Chatfield in the defensive end, well, maybe not ready then - NewYorkNuck

How are they softer? OJ lays a hit out per game. I would guess that Rathbone does the same, which is more than Schmidt's 1 hit every 4 games. If Myers wasn't such a wussy this season and back to his almost two hits per game from last season. Re-sign Hamonic who is more physical than Benn and add Savard who has more hits than Edler does.
OJ would go to PK 1. He was a beast in Utica on it. Green won't let go of Edler though. Rathbone 2nd PK. Savard and Hamonic on the right side. |

One time real Canuck fans will cheer for the Flames is their 3 game series against the Habs. Don't blow the clean regulation win sweep. Make the May games meaningful. |

Rathbone is ready for the NHL. - manvanfan
He might be, hard for me to see him on the Canucks next year tho, given his size and experience.
A super young left side with Hughes, Rathbone and OJ seems unlikely next year.
I'd rather go with:
Hughes-Hamonic
Tryamkin-Schmidt
OJ-Myers
Give Rathbone a full year in the AHL and callup when OJ gets injured.

Tryamkin. - NuckUp
“I believe he is [a top-four defenceman], I think it’s a different person from the guy who left Vancouver four years ago. He’s made a commitment to being in shape, to being the best pro he can be, to having a good diet. He’s slimmed down significantly since then […] He wants to get things going, he wants to spend a good chunk of the summer before training camp in Vancouver and work with the Canucks staff to be ready to hit the ground running.”
Well his agent says he's a top 4 guy so we better sign him asap |

I guess it's a good thing Jake wasn't Russian, we would have never seen him again after that first offseason |

Its much easier to say that a NCAA college player could/should use a full year of AHL before he should play in the pros, but we should dissect Rathbone's career with some comparables before we go any further.
In Quinn Hughes last season in the NCAA, his stats were
32 games played, 5 goals, 28 asissts, 33 pts, 16 pims, -2
Adam Fox in his last season in NCAA, his stats were
33 games played, 9 goals, 39 assists, 48 points, 14 pims, +23
Jack Rathbone in his last season in NCAA, his stats were
28 games played, 7 goals, 24 assists, 31 points, 16 pims, +/- 0
all 3 of these players were on good teams, and were 1st pairing defenseman. I think Jack could easily use more time in the AHL, but I don't think its fair to quickly shut down Donny and say that he wouldn't be better than Edler/Tryamkin at this stage. Kids are better earlier, we see that nightly and yearly. Edler is declining really quickly. I also just realized that in his 37 games played, he doesn't have a goal. |
