Benning really needs to get more prospects into the AHL. I have a feeling that FA has something to do with that, wanting to pay for players in the NHL not in the AHL.
Ben Birnell
Nolan Stevens with a great setup to Lukas Jasek, who has his shot go wide late in the first period.
Jasek should be ready for 13th forward or 4th line duties next season.
BTW. Covid is kicking my ass.
My worksite has been overun with cases, 200+ now. So they bussed me and other positive cases to covid hotels in Edm. Spent 2 nights there and it got so bad, I called 911. Now in Royal Alex hospital with IVs in both arms, and on oxygen.

Its much easier to say that a NCAA college player could/should use a full year of AHL before he should play in the pros, but we should dissect Rathbone's career with some comparables before we go any further.
In Quinn Hughes last season in the NCAA, his stats were
32 games played, 5 goals, 28 asissts, 33 pts, 16 pims, -2
Adam Fox in his last season in NCAA, his stats were
33 games played, 9 goals, 39 assists, 48 points, 14 pims, +23
Jack Rathbone in his last season in NCAA, his stats were
28 games played, 7 goals, 24 assists, 31 points, 16 pims, +/- 0
all 3 of these players were on good teams, and were 1st pairing defenseman. I think Jack could easily use more time in the AHL, but I don't think its fair to quickly shut down Donny and say that he wouldn't be better than Edler/Tryamkin at this stage. Kids are better earlier, we see that nightly and yearly. Edler is declining really quickly. I also just realized that in his 37 games played, he doesn't have a goal. - Codes1087
I thinks it's fair to say that Rathbone has higher ceiling that Tryamkin for points and puck moving.
If we didn't have a smaller puck moving Dman in Hughes already here, i think i'd be more comfortable with slotting him into our D corps next year.
As it stands now, i think Tryamkin's skill set fits our needs more tho

If we are speaking to roles, than why insert Tryamkin when you have Myers?
In 39 games played this year, the Canucks have 10 goals from defenseman in all situations. Maybe its just me, but I think we need more Quinn Hughes and Rathbone type defenseman than we do more Myers and Tryamkins. - Codes1087
Fair.
i think age also plays a factor in my preference for Tree over Bone next year

I agree. We need some size and the threat of a large body on the blueline. I like Rathbone though, but he is not Edlers replacement.
Can you help me get a few doses of Pfizer? I want what ASL and Marwood got. Thank you - CanuckDon
I know you are half-joking...
* if you are in BC, I’ve heard claiming you have serious allergies works (relative used that in Burnaby).
* Or you could volunteer at a hospital or hospice....
* Or just travel to the US and go into one the pharmacies not distributing the J&J one-shot. CVS has appointments on available in Scottsdale, for instance

I was just reading a Facebook post from a farmer in Sask who was saying that the virus isn't bad and we should live our lives freely.

All the best, it's tough. Did our HB Covid-19 conspiracy experts contact or mock you yet?
