Trade proposal on my part.
CBJ looking for a center. Strome and Z for one of their firsts and a prospect ? - boilermaker100
If you’re the GM of Columbus, do you make that trade? |
|
|
|
Ryan Hartman extended by the Wild. 3 x 1.7M. |

I don't know. What do you think. They get a C and a defenseman that would provide some depth when they lose Seth Jones the following year via free agency. Torts won't be around to bench those two. LOL. |

I think you might need some help with your French there buddy.
My way too early prediction on the prospects:
Alty will be the best of the bunch currently in Rockford. Followed closely behind by Slavin.
Soderlund is going to be the guy that "should" be really good, but never gets there.
Hardman is going to tease for a year, then fade away (no puns or innuendo there at all).
My misguided guesses on who leaves:
Carp
Big Z
de Haan
Connolly
Nylander - Chunk

If I’m the GM of Columbus I ask, do the players being offered make the team better. I think the answer is obvious. |

I'm not sure how 2 players, most proclaim "to suck" would garner a first round pick, that alone makes me think they say no, as they probably don't make CBJ better. CBJ overpaid on expiring contracts & lost big, not sure if they would do it again. |

Just trying to find a new home for those two. |

Well that team definitely does have room for improvement one way or the other. |

Strome's home is in the blue paint on the pp. Zadorov's home, anywhere but Chicago. |

It always sounds good in theory, but I think we can count on one hand how many players have ever done it with any modicum of success. If he's not good enough to play responsibly on D, I don't have any faith that he would do any better as a wing. We've had John Scott, Brookbank, and Mashinter on the team before. Big guys that hit, but can't play hockey. If you exchange those guys for someone even like Stillman, I think they come out ahead. - Chunk
Good observation, I like Z. but he can't expect a big raise. He has struggled and seems lazy at times. He has a good shot and don't want to give up on him, as a forward, meh don't think so. Someone needs to work with him in the off season on playing defense and hitting . |

[quote=LAHawk]Vinny looks like he is using his speed effectively as opposed to the first time around where he was buzzzing around the ice with no purpose ala Ken Yaremchuk
I can't believe somebody else remembers Ken Yaremchuck. What a wasted pick |

Many here remember Yaremchuk, although we’d rather forget. |

If Stan times it right, he should get 2 first round picks. |

Or if you teach him the Vader choke, he can use that in his trade proposal through the phone ... then we can stop losing so many trades. |

New blog! A preview to the Blackhawks concluding game of the season versus the Predators with a hopeful encore of Wednesday's OT thriller.
Plus, a look at possibilities of Toews returning and Shalunov crossing over next season.

When he was darting around I used to hear in the back of my head the woo woo woo that Curly from the Stooges used to do. |
