People are so concerned about MTL for the last playoff spot. If Cgy wins tonight, they are only 3 games behind. Sutter going to have that team rolling pretty soon. - manvanfan
Meh, if Calgary wins they're 4 points behind Montreal with an extra game played. They're 9-11 with Sutter so far, don't see the team turning any corners since they're playing at the same pace as they were before him. That team is who they are.

I'm not convinced on the Flames just yet. They came out guns ablazing not too long ago and everyone had them making the PO's lots need to go their way to get in. It's just reality for MTL they just ain't that good. If the Flames win the next two vs MTL in regulation MTL will be sweating. - LordHumungous
Canucks, Flames, Canadiens all suck. Whoever sucks less will make the playoffs.

lol sad but true really. If I was TO I'd be watching this carefully. They do not want Calgary in the first round IMO. TO would make short news of MTL in the first round unless all was clicking for MTL. Marky has been spotty all year bit in his defence he was exceptional in last years PO's before injury. TO with Campbell Rittich and Andersson are in trouble no matter what. |

Any Canadian team to come out of the division will get slaughtered.

Good point and you'd think by now they'd have turned the corner. But...with two more regulation wins vs MTL it will get interesting. |

Was watching a bit of Leafs Jets game on Thursday, during the game, there were 2 headshots, from Leafs on Lowry and Perreault of the Jets.
I am still waiting for the word on how long the suspensions will be. |

Montreal would potentially scare me the most if i was Tor, Wpg or Edm.

Mtl plays the best playoff game but they just don't have the talent. I would bet Wpg. They have goaltending and the strongest bottom 6 of the top 3. |

I would think WPG as well would have the best overall shot to compete with the potential top 2 clubs of all other 3 divisions if they make the Con. finals and come out of the North. |

Anyone who comes out of the North kind of looks like they will be booted pretty easily.
9th 12th and 13th the top 3 with 4 pretty crappy looking clubs filling out their division. |

If healthy, Montreal has a pretty decent lineup on paper top to bottom.
Winnipeg, TML and Oilers are better, but it's marginal imo.
If i was going to bet on how the Cdn division plays out it's this:
TML > MTL
WPG>EDM
WPG>TML
WPG

Well with a CDN club guaranteed in the final 4 it will get interesting. The fact that no divisional crossing games were played at all this year will factor in. Who thought the conference finals would be a feel out round lol |

Saw some Jet's fans complaining about Benn playing over Stanley Thursday. Now they are complaining that Stanley is playing over Benn. |
