And new players man. Our best aren't good enough our supporting pieces aren't good enough. Not all coaching man not even close |

This is the first year I have just wanted clarity within the organization. Everything has seemed to go the opposite way. A reset would be best. Not a full one. |

Supporting pieces are the wrong words to describe this group. I'm starting to worry about someone like Miller asking for a trade. |

Yeah we could use another 6 year re-tool. |

You must be young ;-)
Unrelated...interesting to see that the entirety of CDN division is +/- .500 hockey in their last 10 games (ignoring loser points...just wins & losses). Parity or just mediocre?
Not hopeful for any of these teams challenging for Lord Stanley this year. |

Tight game and P1 recovery left team without extra gear or mental sharpness to break through. |

Here's a question:
How many years have you been a Canuck Fan? and how many of those years have you been impressed with the product?
51 years and I've been impressed 10-12 of those seasons
Edit: forgot about the Westcoast Express years so make that 12-14. |

I seem to be quite a bit younger than most of these guys 94' is probably my earliest memory of the Canucks.
A lot of mediocre I would say. |

NHL rights revenue will more than double from an average of $300M/year to $625M/year.
Old Deal: NBC pays $200M/year, and Disney Streaming Services pays $100M/year.
New Deal: ESPN pays $400M/year, and Turner pays $225M/year. |

I’m as old as the team, almost to the day, but can’t say I was actually a fan until Roger’s white towel powered them to the cup.
Impressed? Yeah, a little more than a dozen years. Hopefull? Way more than that. I had plenty of nieve years where I though, for example, Bure AND Mogilny would be dynamite together. Or that Messier and Tikkanen could actually drag the team over the line. So I’ve been hugely disappointed a number of times. This isn’t one of them. I had low expectations, and they have been met. I’m pretty happy with the team

I looked up the Canuck's playoff history:
49 seasons in the league, making the playoffs 28 of those 49 seasons, not bad right? In those 28 years of playoffs we have won 17 rounds, 9 of those came in the 3 visits to the final, that means we won 8 round in 25 years of playoffs, never more than a single round in any year. |

Cool shot of the moon Carol. Wife and I were out for a walk tonight and there was a low cloud that looked like a Chinese dragon (more serpenty) with the moon shining through. Sadly didn’t have a camera. I’ll just have to remember it. |

I am a few years older that you…actually cheered for the Leafs when Dave Keon led them to their last championship and then switched to the Canucks when they came into the league.
I have enjoyed most of their journey as a fan but have been truly impressed by only a few seasons (the white-towel playoff run, West Coast Express, peak Sedin years).
This year is a bad joke reminiscent of some other no/mediocre-talent, no-direction years…even with Brock, Elias-the-injured, Quinn and Thatcher. This team as constructed & coached will be competitive only when they get outstanding goaltending.
As crazy as it sounds, Gillis inspired more confidence than most of the management groups…certainly more than this one.

I wonder, outside of the "dynasty" teams/eras, how many teams have had exciting franchises? How many years have teams been exciting versus bland? Where do the Canucks fall on that line?
We joke about Toronto, but seriously how many years have they had impressive teams since they won the cup? |

Not many. Ardent fan base and intensive media coverage, though.
They had a few good years with players like Sittler, Lanny, Borje, Sundin, Gilmour, Clark, Vaive...and certainly have some seriously talented forwards right now (with Matthews, Tavares, Marner).
Both the Blue Jays and more recently the Raptors have been more successful and exciting franchises, though. The GTA was crazy when the Raptors won the championship in 2019!
