I’m a crouton man myself. Never cared for you skin-on-the-roof-of-your-mouth types. You best keep your distance partner.

Interesting thanks Reuby, Something is holding them back from re-signing Green and it does seem as if they are going to move on without him (just a gut feeling I am probably wrong).

I think you’re right on this.

Not sure which of FA, JB or TG is holding it up, but sure seems like it would have already happened if all three were for it.

Well, 15 games remaining
2 v Sens
2 v Leafs
2 v Jets
4 v Flames ( a 3 game series to close the season)
5 v Oilers

Before the return to play I had guessed they would finish at 6-13, so happy so far they are 3-1.

I won’t be putting any money on either playoffs or a high draft slot, but it will be an interesting finish.

I bet you it doesn't make a difference. His agent will just say Calder, a bazillion points per game yada yada.

I'm not saying they won't agree on a short term bridge deal, that's probably what the player would prefer. To get as close to UFA as possible and then look to lock in to one of those long term big dollar deals. Not like the bridge deal is going to be less than Boeser's.

Going 3-12 over the next 15 is really gonna suck then eh?

I don’t have a good guess nw...will Oilers, Jets & Leafs be coasting? Fighting for position? Still sucking in goal?

I am hoping for good games which remain meaningful until the final series against the Flames.

Ha...I know, ever since their COVID episode they’ve sucked mightily, and, they’re really not in a good spot with an aging core group of guys.

The Draft Analyst write up about finals for

Dmitry Zlodeyev, C (VAN 6th/2020)
Zlodeyev is a kid I was more than bullish on a season ago, putting him in my first round and demanding NHL clubs draft him at least three or four rounds earlier than his eventual sixth-round landing spot in Vancouver. Truth be told, he was a bit of a passenger the entire series against Loko and his limited minutes in the five games (10:02) are an accurate reflection of his usefulness. The aforementioned line of Zlodeyev, Trineyev, and Didkovskiy entered the series as MSK’s nominal third line but both Zlodeyev and Didkovskiy by Game 3 were jumped by fourth-liners Yegor Bryzgalov and Oleg Zaitsev, respectively. It’s not as though Zlodeyev was doing anything wrong, and the “TZD Line” was MSK’s best in the Game 2 win. Naturally, being loaded at every forward position doesn’t mean every line will score with impunity every game and MSK’s coach clearly understood that, as he gave his fourth liners every opportunity to pitch in.

In Zlodeyev’s case, he saved one of his best performances for the clincher in Game 5, which ironically was one of his lower ice-time totals of the playoffs (8:25). It was Zlodeyev’s forecheck pressure early in the first period that induced the turnover by Alexei Goryachev and led to Didkovskiy’s 1-0 goal, which Zlodeyev followed with a goal of his own in the frame’s dying seconds. He didn’t see much ice time thereafter, but he did team up with Didkovskiy for solid work on the penalty kill in the third period.

---------------
Podz isn't the only Russian to be getting the treatment. He went from 1-2LC to start the season, moved up to the VHL for 19 games. Was supposed to be called up to KHL before getting injured. Returned to MHL for their playoffs, 11 games playing 3-4LC in limited minutes.

Philly going to have to give up a decent player in the expansion draft or cost a pretty sum to get Seattle to take someone.

Yikes 7.14M a season for Kevin Hayes 68 points in 117 games in a Phi jersey.

They've got a lot of high-priced, declining, players at the top-end of their lineup and no one in sight to replace them. The future does not look bright for them!

There was a time when they were in on every high-end free agent or seemingly always in on big trades to land a big fish, those days are gone. You've gotta build through the draft now or you're just not going to be successful.
