New coaching staff for next season. I think it will give Van a real identity.

Kole lind may play today according to Rick D.
I don't know where he will play but i feel bad subjecting him to anywhere but Bo or Miller's lines.

right?
remember on this thread when posters used to say that tanking is dishonorable and that the team (from management to players) would never embrace it?
benning has shown that there is a place and time for everything. it's all about circumstance.
you can never make the blind see so it's a shame that some people can't see benning's brilliance. i'm sure if the "advertising was better," the sheep could be led in the right direction.
in hindsight, calling it "re-tool on the fly," was a mistake. it should have been labelled, "win now while tanking." |

I believe the original message was "we are going to draft and develop, while trying to remain competitive"
Everybody going to take that differently. I just believe when you have an opportunity, take it.
Tanking right now is the right thing to do. Playing some young players should also be done. |

it's hindsight to even suggest that anyone could have foreseen the cap issues and building the team taking this long.
you're right about taking the opportunity when you have it which is a concept that benning haters just can't grasp. you can't fault benning for taking every opportunity and cap dollar and trying to win now. saying it wouldn't work is just 100% hindsight. |

I think its a bunch of pretend to think that building a sports team is easy. Thinking if you do this or that results will be exact.
Canucks have been past round 2, 2 times in 36 years. |

Sincere question (and not specifically for you): Who would be worse to have behind the bench next year, Babcock or Ralph Kreuger?
Both have had their reputations destroyed by their last gigs, but I'm not sure who I think would be better/worse behind the Canucks bench (I also didn't watch any Buffalo games, because why would you, so I don't know if Kreuger was bad because Buffalo=bad or if his coaching was overhyped) |

Gallant is an old school dinosaur. He got fired for loving Gudbranson. We need a progressive coach |

Turning the page quickly on Wednesday's game in Ottawa, we'll have a Kole Lind sighting in Toronto on Thursday. Fun!
Also, glad to see Demko back in the lineup, and a look at some of the goings-on in Utica, in the new blog:

you're right. it's hard. that's why all the benning haters can't be taken seriously. if anyone thought that benning deserves less than a decade to show results, they're not being realistic.
in fact, i'd argue (which benning indirectly does by saying 2 years away) that you have to give him a decade to complete the rebuild. it's only after those 10 years that you can truly evaluate the team that benning has built. this means we'll only know if he's right or not in years 11-15.
the benning haters just can't grasp that benning deserves about 5 more years for us to be able to evaluate his work. |

No to Babcock as he is just a better version of Green TBH. He will do things on purpose to piss off his players and media to get his points accross. Stubborn and a bit of a hard ass highly doubt this core would be receptive to that.
Kreuger I would be ok with as he actually got raw deals in EDM and BUF IMO. |
