I've seen a few posters vocal about not getting/trusting it. I personally am feeling a bit anxious about not getting yet to be honest. My wife gets her 2nd vaccine this weekend and I probably won't get the call until late may if things go according to schedule.

There are other factors GMs have to look at when making decisions. They don't get your hindsight luxury.

Maybe they didn't like the offers. Maybe they thought they could get more this offseason. Maybe they thought he'd be a better fit than Toff.

Virtanens buyout is like 50k and 500k

If they had to buyout Toffoli in a year or two. Double the years for 650k to 2.2M.

Florida signed Brett Connelly to a 4 year deal after a great year. 1 year later they are dumping him off to Chi.
