So more Hughes, less Myers
- NorthNuck

😁
Have our Hughes. We need what Myers should be. Big physical shutdown Dman.

A lot of scouts thought that about him, some even thought he should have gone top 3 and were surprised he fell to 5th. Honestly, if not for injuries he would have likely hit the NHL sooner and been further along in his development.

I agree with your take but talk about heaping unneeded pressure on the kid. Benning essentially said “I’ve drafted a Lidstrom type so now it’s up to the kid to prove me right”.

That’s like Benning saying EP reminds him of Gretzky... just stupid to say that to a desperate fan base. Why paint yourself into a corner?

Whining? I hate that it comes to this. Hockey discussion that doesn't align with the group think "whining". Hockey discussion that goes against management "Benning hater". Hockey discussion that goes against personal opinion "armchair GM and hindsight is 20/20". This is exactly what's wrong with the internet these days, it's way too personal lol.

We talk Hockey and people complain, we talk politics and people complain, we talk covid and people complain. What would be acceptable canuck talk for you lol

- Codes1087

Your discussion that you wanted Toffoli instead of Virtanen because of Jims "proper allocation" of funds. Im sure when Jim signs a contract two years previous he has already thought I'm going to need this amount for Tyler Toffoli in 2 years.

If Jim didn't sign Beagle and roussel, we would complain about the Chaputs and megna's again in the bottom 6 and how they arent helping the amazing top 6.

Of course we do, and of course we have, and we will continue to complain about the construction of a mediocre to bad roster until we get a good one lol.

And to add, Benning is the most present minded GM we have ever had. Of course he doesn't think about the implications of his decisions today and how it effects tomorrow. It's why cap issues will forever be a topic of discussion and debate. He doesn't think about the off-season ahead of him, so nothing makes me believe he thinks about what happens 2 years from now lol

It’s overcast and probably unsafe: pandemic
- CanuckDon

Does an overcast day have the opposite effect? Like, when the sun is shining everyone is cured, and when it's cloudy everyone gets Covid-19? Maybe put on a tinfoil hat and go outside?

Its patience for a full rebuild and sometimes that mean letting go of one guy and keeping another. Don't lose sleep over it.

Covid actually rains from the sky, thus explaining Van being the epicenter of the P1 Variant

You're being a bit dramatic. Again, I posted a link, we discussed it and the points made in it, and because we disagree you think I'm losing sleep lol.

I'll lose sleep when we have something to lose sleep over, and I imagine that won't be until Benning is gone

How has Jim or Travis not learned from what Yannick said years ago. Yet we see leivo, vesey, virtanen, macewen, LE, etc always getting slotted in.

I don't know man. Do you think Jim would recognize the mistakes he's made? Sure doesn't seem like it because he keeps making the same ones...
